Swipes are spot on. Shame to see games now doing a subscription offer. Crazy to do that for this game did about 8 levels. Ignored any click to watch an advert stuff to get coins. Shame about the freemium crap but the game plays very well retroboy27 likes this. jpgold Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2012 1,818 56 48 Online Ad Sales - Pandora New York, NY #3 jpgold, Oct 5, 2019 Was kind of pumped to see Q*bert pop up only to be disappointed by a subscription fee. I’ve never understood IAP, as I prefer to pay once and just play, but I understand that they don’t bother a lot of players. However, I cannot for the life of me understand the subscription scheme on this one. So you pay $6.99 every month just for this one game? That’s over $80 a year hahah. Why not just make it $1.99 as a one time purchase? I’d say “good luck” but cannot see this one being successful. Ridiculous houseofg likes this. The nerve on some people! retroboy27 Active Member Nov 1, 2012 25 1 3 Male Data Analyst Ohio, USA #13 retroboy27, Oct 7, 2019 Yes, there's a subscription- if you want it. It's hardly necessary. It's a complete game without it. People need to stop worrying about the sub fees. Honestly, I prefer it. It keeps it from being pay to win, keeps the game free and the game itself is complete. It's not unlike the Mario Kart sub. Gameplay wise, it's an excellent "port". The controls are well done via swipe and I haven't noticed any bugs either in the main mode or the arcade version. The game is as frustrating, addicting and edge of my seat gameplay as ever. 4.5 stars easy (if there were a simple one time payment to get rid of ads it would be 5 stars, but that is a minor nuisance). In the shop there is a one time payment 2.99 to remove ads. jpgold Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2012 1,818 56 48 Online Ad Sales - Pandora New York, NY #15 jpgold, Oct 7, 2019 good to know. then what’s the point of the subscription? Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #16 Stronsay, Oct 7, 2019 The VIP sub gives 5 lives, double rewards and 400 coins per day, none of which is necessary, and would probably spoil the game’s natural progression. Can’t imagine anyone paying 6.99 per week. Almost seems like a joke. houseofg likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
