https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/one-line-weekly/id1480090253?!=nl&ls=1 One Line Weekly is a puzzle game in which you have to make one line. “Weekly” means that you get a new game every week (starting Saturday). Is that a new concept? I got the idea from my wife who “longs” for a new Sudoku game in the Saturday newspaper. You could help me by telling me if the app indeed starts a new game on Saturday. It works fine for me in Holland, but does it also work in the rest of the world? Don't worry: the game has no ads, no in app purchases and is free. The concept of the game itself is quite simple: make one long line by tapping on the white elements. But the total game is quite a job because there are more than 1000 elements. So I thought that one puzzle a week is more than enough. Here you see two images of the game: at the start and at the end. And a short movie: One Line Weekly Marcelo Pars How to play? Could well be a new concept to have a different set-up every week for this type of puzzle. I’m wondering if there are multiple ways to complete the line or only one? If there is only one solution it will probably take me well over a week, seeing as there are no clues to indicate if the correct connections are being made. I don't have the mathematical proof, but I'm pretty sure that there is one solution only. I admit that it is not the easiest of puzzle games. My experience is that when you get stuck all the time, just put your phone away and start (on a fresh spot) a few hours later. Yes, now you have to wait till Saturday. Sorry, maybe I should have put it on the forum on a Friday. But Sunday is also an interesting day, because I believe in some parts of the world the week starts on Sunday and on other parts on Monday (or Saturday). So you would help me if you told me in what country you downloaded the game and if you are on puzzle nr 40. Thanks again. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #4 Asp, Sep 29, 2019 Thanks for that answer. I did make one simple line connect all the way round the tetrahedron, or whatever shape it is, but felt that was too easy. Will be interesting to attempt the whole puzzle using all of the pieces. So, my game here is downloaded in the UK and is showing number 40. As to which is the first day of the week I think it depends on who you ask. I shall advise which day it updates in due course. It's just another Platonic form called icosahedron (twenty equal triangles). Hope to hear from you not earlier and not later than Saturday! Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #6 Asp, Oct 5, 2019 Greetings Marcelo. It is Saturday in the UK and I confirm a new puzzle has appeared, so the system is working. I failed to complete last week’s puzzle but hoping to do better with this one. Knowing that I’m working with an icosahedron rather than a tetrahedron should make all the difference. Marcelo Active Member Jul 15, 2018 38 2 8 Male Game Maker The Netherlands http://www.cubicks.com #7 Marcelo, Oct 5, 2019 Thanks Asp! I'm afraid the problem is, that I made an icosahedron, which contains more than one thousand elements. In ratio a tetrahedron puzzle would contain only two hundred elements. Nevertheless good luck and thanks again. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Do you already have an account?
