That’s probably the only reason why company this big would go for an investment from Apple. And I thought the Apple Arcade was all about helping indie developers in the first place. How does Gameloft fit into this? Well, financial investment theories aside, for me as a European baseball lacks any appeal or excitement whatsoever. Mostly because I don’t fully understand it I guess. I’m familiar with the rules. I know what’s happening on the field and why. It just doesn’t interest me that much. That being said, this game’s looks really nice. Presentation is great, but why wouldn’t it be? It has full narrative commentary, beautiful visuals and sounds, licensed music. Gameplay is smooth. The only problem is, it’s just baseball. So, yeah. Whatever. I played two full games, unlocked a couple of achievements. Hit a few home runs as a batter and scored a few strikeouts as a pitcher. It was ok. Just nothing I’d be looking forward to get back to. But for an American I assume this is going to be a lot of fun. I’m just not the right demographics, that’s all. I was under impression that's what Apple Arcade is all about. To find new, original titles, to bring premium content. Something fresh. In return for financing the development. I guess the indie stuff is something I picked up along the lines. Because, why would big companies needed financial aid in any way? I guess I was wrong about it. But it doesn't matter what I thought really. My impressions about the game would be the same nevertheless. That's what this thread is all about. I have been playing it for a few days now, but most of the time it seems completely random. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #8 macplash, Oct 28, 2019 @Aerion well, I assume the strength of this game is in multiplayer. The AI is terrible, or as you said, random. Bot batter won’t hit two straight and plain balls in a row, but when he got exhausted and I send a tricky curveball to the corner, he suddenly hits home run? There’s no logic in AI’s behavior. I didn’t try to play against a real people though. But such shenanigans should be eliminated in online game. Aerion Well-Known Member May 14, 2014 51 8 8 #9 Aerion, Oct 28, 2019 Yes, Multiplayer is exciting - if the matchmaking works. Most of the time, it does not. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #10 macplash, Oct 28, 2019 LOL, that’s a bummer. I didn’t try, personally. As I already wrote, I have no interest in baseball whatsoever. So why would I play it, right? advaith33 Member Dec 28, 2013 9 0 1 #11 advaith33, Sep 23, 2020 The game just came out with a new mode called Ballistic Bash, which is a Home Run Derby Style mode.
