The rest are. Unless you just imagine them as transgender, I guess. I too was pretty excited for finally having a REAL MMORPG on mobile...Looked up the wiki entry for the original game to see when it came out. It's pretty bad when wikipedia calls a game out for being pay to win. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_World_(video_game) Darkfyra Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2017 157 6 18 #4 Darkfyra, Sep 5, 2019 How intrusive is the autoplay, can you still enjoy it manually with no problem or it's designed that make auto more viable like most of these mobile mmos(auto is fine as a grinding tool but not if it become better than manual play) Johny_Toxic Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2019 120 5 18 Male Gaming Addict Indiana #5 Johny_Toxic, Sep 5, 2019 I would say the auto is pretty standard to what's out there. You can use it to push through the quests, and what not, and then it becomes a little less viable in dungeons, and for the most part, you will need to play during boss fights. I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but I normally have trouble getting into an MMO if it doesn't offer all that. If I'm going to play an MMO, I like to go at it pretty hardcore, I want to be involved in the end game, raid bosses, top end guilds, ect. The problem is, that's hard to do, when you have any kind of life at all, work, or family ect. If it wasn't for all the auto options, there's no way I could keep up with other hardcore players. So I always really appreciate the fact that I can burn through the grindy stuff with auto while I'm at work, then do all the fun stuff when I'm at home. Darkfyra Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2017 157 6 18 #6 Darkfyra, Sep 5, 2019 In my case I prefer having full control on how I play, what's the point of downloading a game if I watch it do everything for me, maybe I hate it more because I have a iPad Pro so I can play bigger more complex games with no problem. Johny_Toxic Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2019 120 5 18 Male Gaming Addict Indiana #7 Johny_Toxic, Sep 5, 2019 Even when I play an MMO on my PC, its not the grindy stuff that I enjoy. I think every MMO I've ever played ever has had me go collect 10 wolf furs and turn them in a few dozen times at some point, that's just not the part of the game I enjoy, or any other kind of daily repetitive quests, or even running through a dungeon that's terribly to easy but I need to farm a certain piece of gear. It all serves its purpose, and has its place in an MMO, but it's when I actually put my character to the test with high end guild raids and stuff like that I actually enjoy. Darkfyra Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2017 157 6 18 #8 Darkfyra, Sep 5, 2019 I play for the journey not the destination so when I get there I can be proud of the work I made to get there, if it's automated what is fun about it Johny_Toxic Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2019 120 5 18 Male Gaming Addict Indiana #9 Johny_Toxic, Sep 5, 2019 I defiantly understand that, it takes all kinds. I'm just opposite when I play an MMO, just a pure grind fest for me, I don't read a word of quests or anything like that, just a blind push to try and level and progress as fast as possible. Darkfyra Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2017 157 6 18 #10 Darkfyra, Sep 8, 2019 I actually installed it to find out auto is 100% optional and only needed for travelling quickly, activating cutscenes or leaving instances, when in combat auto become a button you have to click yourself so if you hate it, it’s really easy to only use it as a travel tool and ignore it during combat, sometime I even saw QTE during cutscenes(plus the horse taming at the beginning out of Riders of Icarus). It was not at all what I would have though, this IS auto done right and it feel like a real mmo. Another thing I like, in PW, is that I feel auto combat would leave the player at a bit of a disadvantage against certain enemies. My only gripe would be I wish the Perfect World quests were descriptive on where to go / what to do next without pressing the quest button to auto navigate but it’s early yet and they may improve upon that in the future. Thankfully, to see that awful point I mentioned I will need to play a lot because lv:10 and still no paywall in sight(ok I do worry about top ups system but there is no VIP so it’s less damaging and maybe won’t matter that much due to skills actually mattering in this game.). Still tops ups is indicative of pay2win and it's gross. adamphetamine Well-Known Member Jan 4, 2011 968 31 28 Programmer/3D Modeling Bethlehem, Pa #13 adamphetamine, Sep 10, 2019 Such a horrible game. It's utterly devoid of any soul and no doubt is just trying to be a nestalgia cash grab. Bland auto online RPG that people should avoid like the plague. JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #14 JasonLL, Sep 10, 2019 That is a great idea. I would definitely like to see something like that implemented in all MMO’s that offer autoplay. I disagree. I like the story and atmosphere of the game so far since it does have a different type of vibe than most western RPG’s. Most games from the east are very generous with the amount of game you get without spending at all. Yes there can definitely be improvements but so far its been pretty good.
