Like the variety of screens. Need to work out exactly where to put my fingers as sometimes I didn’t seem to flip Great looking game Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #3 Royce, Sep 4, 2019 Not sure what device you’re playing on but on iPad my fingers tend to drift outward to the black bars on the sides on iPad, and unfortunately touches do not register there. I’m enjoying this quite a bit so far. There’s a lot going on with the boards, and I am having fun figuring out the various mechanics and how the different rooms work. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,972 722 113 England #4 psj3809, Sep 4, 2019 iPhone XS. It’s all good as I can play it fine just a pain the magnifying glass icon is near to where I put my fingers. Not a huge issue Really like the different layouts etc. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 972 143 43 #5 ShinHadoukin, Sep 4, 2019 I’m close to biting but I don’t like paying for a F2P game. Currency IAPs typically mean thinks cost absurd amounts to encourage purchase. I’m all in for paying for games & this is not a knock on F2P but I do not like to see them “combined”. Any input to settle that idea in this game & convince me to hit purchase? Thanks. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #6 Royce, Sep 4, 2019 All of Game Stew’s Games are basically the same in this sense. They are fully premium experiences but you can buy currency to cheat or speed your progress somewhat. I’ve only ever bought IAPs from them as a sort of thank you and only after progressing through the games without any added help so as not to cheat myself out of the experience. This discussion comes up with their games a lot so you can look at previous threads to see what was said. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #7 Royce, Sep 4, 2019 It seems that when you accomplish a new step in a quest and the area around the magnifying glass flashes, that area stops responding to touches for clipper control which causes some missed flips. It would be nice if we could simply turn the quest notifications off. Does anyone have a clear understanding of the stamina/hunger/food system yet? I still haven’t figured out exactly how that works. Makes fast balls pretty impossible to catch Grist Well-Known Member Nov 7, 2008 362 25 28 VP of Marketing Massachusetts #10 Grist, Sep 4, 2019 The game looks fine on my iPhone, but lousy on my iPads. Hope the developer will reformat the layout to fit the entire width of iPad screens. Also, the left flipper occasionally doesn't work. This may be related to a point in the game when flipper controls are switched, requiring taps using the finger opposite to the flipper you want to use. If this was a deliberate gameplay decision on the part of the developer, I'm casting a vote to change it. Very confusing and not immediately obvious to users when the controls have been switched. When the flippers are switched there will be heart graphics around your flippers showing there is a spell effect in place. Edit: after playing several more times there just seems to be some sort of bug where flipper presses just don’t register, it’s happened to me with both flippers now. It seems to happen most frequently on a new ball, but not always. The game is fun and challenging -- there definitely is a learning curve that requires patience -- but there is room for improvement if the developer is willing to invest more time to achieve the full potential of his game. Never would have thought a black & white pinball game could be created that is more fun and challenging than all the colorful and fancier pinball games in the App Store.
