I feel like the tutorial could have been more helpful. Maybe there’s a way to replay it? As a HUGE fan of the Gears games I’m keeping this installed in hopes it clicks with me. I did enjoy the few games I played. It’s really cool to see so many familiar characters and use them on opponents. I linked my MICROSOFT account and I’m actually getting achievements on Xbox which is a really nice bonus. I’m not into the loot box thing but we’ll see. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #10 macplash, Aug 22, 2019 Last edited: Aug 22, 2019 I played all Gears of War games on my Xbox so this is pretty much a must even though it's a rip off of Clash Royale. Game I hate from the bottom of my heart. I spent year and a half playing it daily, up to the moment when one starts to see the patterns, unfairness in matchmaking, same decks copying the meta and whatnot. I spent hundreds of dollars there, had all the cards, lot of them maxed. Anyway, rage quitting was the best decision I've ever made. I'm not gonna let myself suck into Gears Pop!, that's for sure. But for a few days it might be fun for me, especially because of the art and overall GoW universe. I'm linked with my xbox gamertag too and unlocking achievements, so at least that's something. If the Horde mode was free, I'd stick to the game longer, but since I didn't collect a single token from chests or challenges (and my player's level is 5 already), I'm gonna pass on it soon. blue rocket Well-Known Member Nov 27, 2013 541 0 16 #11 blue rocket, Aug 23, 2019 I created a clan for anyone who wants to join... clane93f2267 is the ID I believe! itzonator Well-Known Member Jul 11, 2019 76 15 8 Male Entrepreneur #12 itzonator, Aug 23, 2019 Microsoft is publishing here... isn’t that interesting... dragon4ever Well-Known Member Apr 19, 2009 242 10 18 #13 dragon4ever, Aug 23, 2019 Does this game have cloud save? macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #14 macplash, Aug 23, 2019 @dragon4ever it does.. You don't need account if you're fine playing on one device only. There's nothing wrong with that though, its a style of game that works very well on mobile, quick competitive matches, with lots of strategy, but simple controls. I prefer the Gears theme much more then the Clash theme, and the cover mechanics bring something new to the experience. There's also some co-op style matches that can be done with your "crew" or clan. Another interesting note you can sync your Xbox account and unlock achievements. If you like this genre for mobile, its at least worth a try. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #19 macplash, Aug 26, 2019 I wouldn't say there's a lot of strategy involved in this particular game considering the limited amount of cards. But sure, it's new. Clash Royale had around 40 cards as well during the launch. And it's more than twice that now. Anyway, there's a lot of balancing ahead with Gears Pop. Currently there are common and rare cards more powerful than some epics. Success depends on how dedicated the developer will be. I personally don't care anymore. I'm already in bronze league, and I'm bored. Gears 5 launch countdown is running, it's just 11 days to go. All my love for Gears of War franchise will go there.
