I used to buy at least 7-10 games a week back in the heyday, was amazing how many great games there were. Then freemium hell pushed me away from ios gaming but recently theres been a LOT of quality premiere AAA games on iOS, i'm glad theyre stand alone ones not part of Apple Arcade (as i like to keep the apps forever !). But theres been great games recently and to me this is a very nice surprise. So playable, works so well on the phone and from an indie dev. Really hope this gets loads of attention. Its one of those games which make you think 'i love ios gaming' ! Hats off to the dev, cant wait to see what other games he creates Anotherkellydown likes this. jpgold Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2012 1,818 56 48 Online Ad Sales - Pandora New York, NY #15 jpgold, Aug 15, 2019 Loving this. Great twist on a “platformer” and controls are spot on. Fantastic game that took a lot of love to make. Is there any shot at making it full screen on the XS through an update? The “bars” aren’t that noticeable, but still curious. If art has to be redrawn then I’d say it might be far-fetched getting rid of those borders, but then again I’m not the developer. Not every film is shot in 16x9, not every portrait is 8x10. Painters, illustrators,, photographers, and, yes, game designers, choose a particular aspect ratio because that’s how they want their games to look. The fact that an iPhone X screen has extra real estate should not drive every aesthetic decision. All I ask for is iPhone X awareness: don’t just shrink the screen: make use of the extra space, or at least don’t make it a touch dead zone. It’s all about making conscious decisions, not default ones. metalcasket likes this. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #18 metalcasket, Aug 15, 2019 Excellent post that just so happens to coincide with the developer's response: Y'know, it's tricky because the game is really designed around having a 16:9 active space... if it got wider, all the enemies who are off screen would have to do something, and if it got taller, it'd reveal a bunch of secrets and stuff that's meant to be hidden raravan likes this. sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #19 sakara214ever, Aug 15, 2019 Yeah i was judging too early at my previous post lol. Played a few levels loving the gameplay really nice concept by the dev but again i just can't stand these borders. After reading the devs response i assume there is no way that it will be changed so i asked for a refund. For anyone who does not mind almost half of the screen (left and right) been taken by the borders it is an amazing game a steal at this price.
