Thanks PointOfLife, that is indeed annoying considering that I'm a completionist and have already completed about 80% of the game so my achievements won't transfer to my 'real' gamecenter account... It's still a great game and I hope they have tons of new levels coming. I've been playing Mr. Frog; it's pretty fun but there is already one glaring bug that needs to be fixed. It's a score based arcade game and you're given objectives to meet each time you play to obtain stars for leveling up. I got 3 stars and then it wouldn't give me any more stars after that even though I've completed the objectives. I tried resetting it and still the same problem.
Hi Thoth, I'm Paul Chambers, one of the developers of Mr. Frog. Thanks for beta testing our game! Can you check something for me? When you play the game, can you hit the pause button and have a look at the pause menu. It should have your current objectives listed there. It should also tell you what your "Top Level" multiplier is (i.e, x2, x3, x4 etc..). Can you tell me : 1) What your multipler is? 2) What objectives are listed? 3) How many flowers/stars you have at the top? Or if you could send a screen shot if that is easier. thankyou! Paul
Well, look what just showed up in my TestFlight account today Of course now that I'm loading them onto my device I'm going to have to go to work, but you know what I'll be doing when I get home from work
@Paul; I just booted up the game and now everything seems to be working fine. I haven't put too much time into it but now that the objectives are working I'll be leveling up in no time! If you still need that info though let me know. Also, is there an option to upload data like on one tap hero, or do you just want a DM or email you with a report after a few hours play? @Wen; Thanks! I was able to get the key. I've definitely put in over 2 hours so would you prefer me to upload data now or would you rather me do it when I complete the game? I've taken down some notes too on a few grammar corrections and suggestions for improvement so I'll DM you eventually.
Well, I got play a little bit over lunch. I love One Tap Hero. I got stuck on level 1-9, though it looks like I was on the right track based on the hint given earlier in this thread. I guess I just haven't gotten the timing down yet! As for Mr. Frog, I'm not sure about this one. Maybe it's because I just didn't know about the objectives, but after playing two or three games without getting any stars, I just wasn't getting into the game. Besides hitting the pause button, did I miss something obvious that lets you know there are objectives in the first place?
Finally got caught at level 3:18 still loving it I'll send the report in but i'm still going after the rest of those stars
@Thoth; No, there is no data upload option for Mr. Frog, you don't need to do anything there. However, you should have received a link to a questionnaire to fill out once you have finished playing both games. The questionnaire includes a few items regarding Mr Frog, so we can get feedback from you there. Of course, if you have anything more to add, you can always drop me an email with more feedback
@PointOfLight; Thanks for beta testing our game. You can also see the objectives on the main menu if you open the options menu by pressing the red arrow at the lower right corner of the screen, and then clicking the trophy. So you didn't miss anything obvious, the objectives are hard to find at the moment. I'm glad you pointed that out, its something we will fix for the final release.
So is it not possible to earn achievements unless you're online? I started playing again and all of a sudden I'm getting achievements left and right. Also, do achievements "roll over"? In other words, if I clear my current achievements, can I earn more achievements in the same round, or do I have to wait until the next one? I hope that makes sense what I'm asking. Still loving One Tap Hero, by the way. I'm only on level 1-18 so far (I think that's where I left off), but it's a ton of fun.
The same thing happened with achievements one time nothing next time I'm getting hem left and right and I'm not signed in to sandbox
There are actually two systems in the game. One is the achievement system, and the other is the objective system (which we call Talents). Achievements are normally linked to Apple Gamecenter, however because this is a beta release, you will not be able to open Gamecenter from this version. However, you will still get a drop down notification when you finish an achievement while you are playing a game(even if you are offline). The achievements are things like eat 1000 bugs total, eat 10000 bugs total, catch 10 freeze clocks total etc... In the final release version, the achievements will link to Apple Gamecenter and you will get points in gamecenter for completing them. The objective system(Talents) are goals that you try to complete in each game you play, and when you complete 5 of them, they let you level up your maximum level multiplier. These also work when you are offline. To answer your question you can only complete up to 3 per round, they don't roll over till the end of the round. At the end of the game, you will get new objectives for the next round.
