So basically what do you want to be in the next OS? Ideas Lock & Home screen: ◊ Customizable Home Screen Backgrounds ◆ Personalized lockscreens, with slideshow settings, calendar, different clock and colours ◊ If locked during a video the video continues to play (optional) ◆ Have as many apps as you want to on the pages, also have widgets (notes, clock etc.) Apps: ◊ If you leave a video before it finishes, an app is created that lets you jump right into it, with a screen shot and is named after the video ◆ A categorizing system, with folders ◊ A choice of layout so that you can have the apps set out in the same way as "columns" on leopard OS finder Cool Stuff: ◊ A copy of SBSettings, but with customization, and spotlight ◆ Corners, so you swipe into a corner and it does a specified action ◊ Expose, pretty much ripped off from the jailbreaking thing So yeah tell me your ideas, lets discuss
This stuff probably won't happen but you might as well jailbreak. It already gives you most of those features.
I want iPod Touch users to not have to pay for it... How about flash player? I've been dying to play some of my favorite games on my iPod, but there's no flash player and they havn't been ported yet.
Flash isn't gonna happen, some of those other ideas are good though. I still don't think it's worth jailbreaking if it means extra risk of apps not working as they should, there's no point in having more options if the core appeal of the iPhone turns unreliable. Plus I'm on a Touch and we already have about 50% less use for jailbreaking as it is.
They started making a flash player with help from the flash company, but then the app store game and they realized it'd take away from their profits. They only way they're making a flash player is if they sell it for like 20 dollars.
I heard that Microsoft is Developping "Silverlight" for iPhone, which could be the remplacement of Adobe Flash Player...

Video Streaming also!
Flash Optional physical gamepad attachment -games that utilize it won't require it [much like the Classic Controller for the Wii] Front/Back Camera (5 Megapixels) Dual processors True Multitasking between apps (meaning I can leave Shoutcast radio on and do other sh1t) Bluetooth keyboard capabilities Folders More ram, better graphics card, higher resolution Latest screen technology Holographic technology Toaster
What I really want to see is a notification system built into the status bar. Get rid of pop up alerts. Jailbreakers are working on it but if Apple puts their minds into it they can far exceed what jailbreak devs can come up with (example copy paste).
That story ended very abruptly... Anyway, I would certainly love flash player also. And, as said before, most everything else is readily available.
