3DS event it tomorrow Friday at 5:00 PM Pacific Time. Some games that will have "conferences" are Kid Icarus, Metal Gear, Pilotwings, etc. Here's some update on Kid Icarus. Looks like a notable improvement over the E3 version: http://twitpic.com/3nozr9 There will be streams of the event here: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/nw2011/program/index.html

Hahahahahahahahaha ha Now Nintendo has killed all the goodwill I had for this handheld in one swoop: battery life is 3-5 hours. Yeah, looks like I'm not getting one until 2012 when a redesign will probably be out
What were you expecting, honestly? Consider that the 3DSi had a 5 hours battery life. Also, those numbers would change depending of the brightness settings. I'm more than ok with it.
Blahahahahahahahahahahahahah! Despite letting you guys vent arguments for page after page I still win; or at least, you said you won't get a this 3DS. I feel so self-righteous right now. RandomSomebody, the way the 3DS's screens are set up, it won't make a difference.
You have no business talking here since you were proved wrong many times my friend. ------------ New screenies:
Sakurai had a live demo of Kid Icarus Uprising. Game looks EXCELLENT in motion. Amazing art direction, blazing fast frame-rate, tons of special effects and outstanding draw distance.
For how good these games are looking, I don't care if I have to be near an outlet. Though that kind of battery life is a little low for today's mobile device standards.
well heck, 3 - 5 hours is better than i get with my ipod. id be happy with that kind of time.. besides after that id be burnt out anyhow. chris.
Totally agree mate! I don't play on any of my systems, be it my DS or PS3 even, for more than 3hrs straight so 3-5hrs is fine by me. Plus, I get less than that on my iPhone 4 quite often, although I don't really game that much on my iPhone these days anyway.
Kid Icarus looks visually amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7Lm6fGmP6s That three-headed monster boss? So good.
Nintendo suggests that you take a break every 30 minutes with the 3D turned on to keep from straining your eyes too much. I imagine that going an entire five hours without taking a break would not be very healthy.
That eye warning is applied by every company for all devices, though. Anyway, lots of new footage of the games lineup. Star Fox 3D looks loads better (the landmaster stage looks great).
