    Doing nothing of importance.

Holy crap those screens are INCREDIBLE!

Unfortunately, it looks like it's going to be like Resident Evil 5, which would be a pretty big bummer if it was.

Well, this will make your day my friend, the developers have specifically mentioned and highlighted that Resident Evil Mercenaries is going to focus more on horror and puzzle solving (ala RE3 Nemesis) instead of combat/action like RE5.

The 3DS is going to ruin. As a dedicated gaming machine, it is going to own the iDevice. It's not going to put iOS gaming out of business or anywhere close, but people looking for a more hardcore experience, between the 3DS and the iPhone, there's going to be no comparision. The iPhone just won't stack up.

The 3DS is one bad mutha

I don't mind the style of 5 provided there's horror and zombies. After all 4 used pretty much the same method and it was amazing.

Wait a minute, how can they be screenshots? The 3DS resolution is quite a lot smaller than the resolution of those "screenshots". Maybe they're just concept art?

Here are official screenshots of some 3DS games.

They are the same shots as the scans in the recent issue of Famitsu, but I'm not sure what the deal is with the resolution.

Ok, I think they're probably concept art or bullshots then.

Just out if curiosity, what are bullshots? I saw someone else mention it on a 3DS site regarding these images and wondered what it meant.

    bullshit + screenshot = bullshot

It's a term for any "screenshots" which aren't actually screenshots, they have been been fabricated to look better than actual screenshots.

I'm sure there are little "re-touches" on those screens, but here's what the game looks in motion, meaning that the game looks pretty much close to the screens. Heck, even better since you can see the lighting effects and animations:

BTW, here are even more new images:

I'm still doubtful that it will look that good. When you compare those "screenshots" to the official screenshots of other games (which I posted on the previous page), it's like the graphics have skipped a couple generations. I guess we'll find out later next year, but I'll remain doubtful unless I actually see it running on the machine itself.

It looks too incredible to be true, but I'm a believer. Capcom's mt framework engine is a beast.

Those are undoubtedly rendered at a higher resolution, made obvious by the simple fact the 3DS just doesn't have that many pixels. Probably for the simple reason 3DS screenshots look tiny on most modern computer monitors and Capcom wanted people to actually be able to see them.

LBG, the reason why it looks so far ahead is because it uses the MT Framework engine, the same engine powering RE5. Other titles on 3DS are by companies that did not build a multiplatform, next-gen engine and kept up to pace with powerful Western engines, and as such are behind (including Nintendo, especially). However, those MGS shots are E3 old, the prototype of which was made in four months. Kojima already stated that the visuals would greatly improve.

Capcom already went to length to show us in-game footage of the game and detailed what exactly the 3DS version of MT Framework is capable of, which is pretty much all its major features including soft dynamic shadowing, self shadowing, normal mapping, per-pixel lighting, DoF, etc.
