Oh, and video chat is looking dead set for 3DS. Not any old video chat though, 3D video chat! Pokemon Black / White already incorporates video chat if played on a DSi (or later on a 3DS), which looks to be a test bed for whatever is coming for the 3DS.
I don't really see the appeal to be fair. As far as tech goes, 3D video is kinda cool, but there's no chance in hell I'd watch to see any of your ugly faces on my 3DS. I don't even want to see my friends, I just wanna play the damn game. If I need to talk to someone I'll use some kind of voice chat, but assuming I'm not a cop being held hostage in a jungle prison by revolutionaries, watching a video stream of his only daughters first words (I love you daddy), there's no real reason for me to be looking at their face while I do it. You barely even look right at people's faces when you talk to them in person, it's just weird.
I have to say, I am so excited for this system. I am huge on Portable gaming, almost just as much as console gaming. While im excited about the 3D aspect of thigns, I cannot wait for the games that are going to come out for it. I hope the system won't be really expensive cause I would really like to invest in one. Cannot wait!
http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net...? Where the hell are you keeping this picture? And that was two years ago! I've ever so slightly changed into a more adult-looking... teen...
This machine is a beast. Check the Street Fighter screenshots http://www.nintendoeverything.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/ssf_4_3ds.jpg
Yep, Super Street Fighter IV 3DS will be faithful to the original. All the characters, all gameplay systems in place. No crappy diluted version aka iPhone version.
Nintendo has revealed when they're announcing the release period for the 3DS: 29th September http://kotaku.com/5599357/whens-nintendo-revealing-the-nintendo-3ds-release Essentially, they just made an announcement for an announcement. But it's better than nothing, I guess.
Looks insanely good. And like the Famitsu article stated, it´s only 50% complete, so chances are it may look even better by the time it releases Capcom has proved that it´s quite easy to port a current-gen graphic engine to the 3DS. Man, I hope other companies do the same and bring games like GTAIV, or Mass Effect to the platform.
Good news about pricing "We haven't made any kind of announcement at the moment, but the Nintendo DSi is available for around £129.99. The Nintendo DSi XL, with the larger screens, is around £159.99," he explains. "So obviously, it's going to fit, kind of, somewhere within that kind of architecture." It should be at around $199 - $229 max.
Looks like 'Resident Evil Revelations' and 'Super Street Fighter IV' may not make the 3DS launch. It's good in one sense that capcom are obviously wanting to take their time with these games but I was kind of hoping to pick up at least 'Resident Evil' with my brand new system (when it launches of course): Source: http://uk.ds.ign.com/articles/110/1109595p1.html
There would have been absolutely no chance for a RE title to be ready at any systems launch. Games of that scale take at least two years to make and developers have only had the dev kits for the 3DS for less than a year.
