The beta is currently running on a web client, so you can join right now: http://www.daveyounggames.com/dangerlands/dangerlandsWIP.php More info is on our website (which is going through some upgrades at the moment): http://www.dangerlands.com/ One of these days I'm going to create a Getting Started tutorial. Enjoy!
Ah, finally I managed to create an account and a character... got the sword... but I'm alone So I tried something... I clicked myself and pressed "Attack"... guess what happened
hehe i currently have 2 characters stuck under the green place because I trraveled through all the walls and went down, down, and down haha but i love glitch hunting this game its so much fun D:
How did you manage to go through the walls? I just walked around a bit... I can only walk up walls and emo-cut myself
Rest assured, wall hackers! I added in a better physics-based character controller last night to give a carte-blanche solution to these problems. I still need to make it run over the network but soon you will stay safely within all the proper boundaries. And you'll get some jumping/hopping too.
Doh! I hadn't heard that Confession.. I have an almost complete Thundercats sticker book and collection in a ziploc freezer bag from when I was 12 And I watched the pilot episode 'Exodus' on a 10 inch black and white am/fm TV
Yes, sorry I wasn't clear, I haven't uploaded the new build yet, won't until I get the net code in for the new player controller.
Wallhackers Dismay Break it now! We just put up Beta 002.8.7, which adds a new physics-based player controller. In addition to the good ole move keys you've come to know and love, we've added in a new Charged Jump feature. You can press and hold jump to do a little hop or a great leap. The new physics based controller has a groovy collision system which should make it nigh upon impossible to sneak through the cracks of the buildings and terrain walls. I also added in a /stuck command you can access via the chat box. It will teleport you back to a named location in the map. If you're curious and want to jump around to various named locations, you can access them and use them with the following commands: /locations /teleport LOCATIONNAME As a reminder, there is also a /players command to see how many players are online, and various emote commands You can type '/emote EMOTENAME' to perform an emote once. Type '/emote EMOTENAME loop' to do the animation repeatedly. Moving will cancel the emote. sit,sitchat,saw,talk,armpump,roar,smith,bow,chop,clap,cry,death1,death2,death3,dig,drink,explain,fall,laugh,no,yes,pickup,point,search,sitloop,sleep,story Visit the LIVEDev section for the link to the new online build. If you do manage to sneak through walls, let me know in the forums
can u put some pictures on the first post or something? right now I have zero interest in this, I dont feel like looking through 54 pages for pictures.. right now I get the impression this is really after-my-day-job because there is no pictures or anything on the first post.. who is going to look through 54+ pages ?
I just tried this for the first time, signed up and within 20 seconds I managed to end up outside the world with the screen flickering all over the place. Not sure if that helps you but I certainly broke it.
