Looks like when you purchase the levels you get 2 weapons, probably laser and wide? Then 6 different specials. I don’t see anything about upgrading ships, not a deal breaker just wondering. Seems crazier visuals then the last one of you didn’t think that was possible Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #3 Asp, Aug 14, 2019 No ship upgrades but a lot of new stuff and impressive graphics. A helpful improvement is that removing finger will automatically collect items which saves much scooting about the screen. Looks to be a fairly technical 2 handed shooter which will take some practice. There are 3 tutorials and 2 test flights to learn everything, plus a myriad of control and graphics settings. In a nutshell there are 2 initial weapons, laser and wide, plus bombs and 6 specials as follows:- Swipe up - Spark - temp no damage Sw down - Decoy - makes decoy to draw enemy fire Hold+up - Time - temp slows time H+down - Barrier - temp barrier Switch weapon 1 - fire homing laser Switch weapon 2 - Blade - vaporise bullets around ship These only activate when the appropriate gauge is filled. Also - gain extra ship every 20M points (on easy) - extra bomb on destroying bomb carriers - multipliers for quick destruction of enemies The tutorial suggests purposely getting hit to get more bombs, which I don’t yet understand, so would appreciate any help in this regard. Don‘t know why, but i kinda feel sad that there seems to be no ship upgrades this time. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #5 Asp, Aug 15, 2019 Ok, basically, it’s the same game as Bullet Hell Monday but with a weapons remix. Activate lasers and shields on-the-fly by collecting energy and filling gauges, rather than upgrading between levels. I think this system creates far greater challenge. If there were ship upgrades it would be no different from the original. amusing Grace Well-Known Member Dec 23, 2008 1,685 8 38 Music, Muse, Magick Berlin, Germany #6 amusing Grace, Aug 15, 2019 I‘m with you about the greater challenge part. The other thing i‘m wondering is how it‘ll play in the long run, Bullet Hell Monday was great for one handed play. Special activation in Black seems to be geared more to two handed play after my first few runs. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #7 Asp, Aug 15, 2019 Sure, definitely not a casual game. There is an option for auto-bomb, though I don’t use as it depletes all bombs at once. In the long run it’s going to take much practice; the bullet hell equivalent of a Chopin étude. Mark Pro Member Aug 15, 2019 5 2 3 #8 Mark Pro, Aug 15, 2019 I have been playing the original Bullet Hell Monday for some time now. The black edition is really difficult compared to the original. It’s far less forgiving, it seems a lot faster, and much harder to play. It’s really difficult to try and weave your ship though all the missiles being hauled at you. I normal play bullet hell games on normal, but. I am even finding this difficult on easy mode. The extra controls for the other 4 weapons don’t help either, I played around with the settings and found the two buttons placed on my iPad to be be the best. A short press for for the first two weapons and a longer press for the second two. I found it really hard, to swipe while guiding the ship. The presentation of the game in general seems a lot more polished compared to the first one. I never played chapters on that game, just did not like them, just did the challenges, so I am pleased they are not in this version. I gave it a rating of 3 out of 5 overall on iTunes. My favourite game by this developer will always be .Decluster Zero in my opinion. In general, bullet hell games are demanding, I found this playing games like AKA to Blue and Danmaku unlimited! Hope this helps.
