What can you expect from the game: A mix between action-platformer and stealth (sneaking around). With procedurally generated environments and missions, no two games will be the same! (+ does have an option to disable randomness if you prefer in settings) The idea is that you are free to tackle this game in the way you like: Sneak around and take your time to take down the enemies? you can do that! Prefer to rush through the game guns blazing? You’re THAT good? Well go for it! My tip? Try a little bit of both, and be more tactical about your approach. Often it’s smarter to not engage with a large group of enemies, and rather take them out one by one or with a well placed sticky bomb, or land mine. In other situations going full on Rambo-mode is probably the best chance of survival and get to the chopper! The game uses procedurally generated environments, making every game a different experience, and failing your mission is just an excuse to try again as your starting team will always be different, and the world will come with new challenges and different building layouts to sneak your way through. Key features: Objectives – complete missions to progress in the game Stealth – Avoid security cameras, hide from enemies and distract them with rocks, tennis-balls or other throwable objects. Loot – A variation of items is there to help you on your missions, shields, helmets, different shoe types, EMP’s, weapons, and more. Learn how to use each item in the most optimal way to help you survive missions Procedural generation – Every game will be generated differently, increasing the replay value. And just for my curiosity, anyone who pre-ordered the game, did it already download? Edit: **cough cough** I guess you forgot to adapt fonds and the button size for smaller screens but definitely the bigger hit-boxes of the buttons (they’re customizable, though). Though they are more or less working for gaming, the select, back or pause buttons are almost not responsible at all! I need a tooth-pick to hit them right (I’m playing on an iphone 7, version 12.2) Attached Files: 321DAC82-7320-4049-AA3F-531812F85532.png File size: 341 KB Views: 34 orangepascal Well-Known Member May 4, 2010 786 103 43 games Netherlands http://www.orangepixel.net #3 orangepascal, Jun 25, 2019 So, this screenshot are with the buttons on the biggest size setting? (settings menu) Could always go BIGGER by adding another option Will look into the back/select stuff, think those don't get the same scale factor.. so keep that tooth-pick ready for now ;p Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #4 Qwertz555, Jun 25, 2019 Yep, the screenshot is with the biggest size (*cough* if i remember right) There is small, medium and big, if we can call it so atm. While i wouldn’t mind the button sizes/signs being all so small, it’s just for the brain anyway, i’m not happy with the hit-boxes. They are def too small/unresponsive for my personal gaming preferences. The already super challenging game on normal mode demands the best responsive controls. I beat the first mission, and the gameplay is incredibly fun. Stealth or attack - choose wisely, indeed! In my books, your best work this far. Congrats! PS: maybe you let test your adapted controls schemes by some testers (never by your friends or family!). By making the buttons bigger its helped. Be good if the fire button could also be used to 'cut' the rope etc to release something, just be good to have a multi use button. Only minor gripe is when i slide my finger over the buttons from right to left and to right the guy stops so i have to take my finger off and press it again. Not a huge thing Huge fan of Pascals games from day 1 so looking forward to getting into this more. Reminds me of old arcade classics. Gunslugs were great but way too manic whereas this one seems great, either go in guns blazing or take it slow. The controls. It is impossible for me to say that i can 100% control the actions of my character. Not even 60%. I love evrything else about this hardworking dev and his games. But i never managed to get into his games more than 2-3 hours. I hope the control scheme changes someday because it is identical to all the games and it doesn't seem to work at least for me. I will not ask for a refund i do not care for the money given this dev deserves a lot more. I wish the controls get improved someday. Also the <back> button at the options menu needs to be pressed 10-20 times in order to work. Seems to be on sight of the down right corner of the screen but it does not work always. Also the <transparency> option does not work. I press the right and left arrows but nothing happens. I am on an iphone X latest ios. Again great game but was ruined from the controls for me. orangepascal Well-Known Member May 4, 2010 786 103 43 games Netherlands http://www.orangepixel.net #9 orangepascal, Jun 25, 2019 Next update will have a fix for the back/select buttons on the interface (mainly a problem on small screens) being bigger and more space to press it. Could you give some more info on why the controls in my games don't work for you? possibly through mail (pascal [ at ] orangepixel.net) ? And give me an example of same-like games (so action-platformers mostly) with control-schemes that do work for you? Because I think I just completely miss the problem the buttons are resizable, and move-able to any place on screen you wish. so I'm a bit lost! jpgold Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2012 1,818 56 48 Online Ad Sales - Pandora New York, NY #10 jpgold, Jun 25, 2019 Same for me. Love/buy all your games and follow the development. I feel like the controls just aren’t responsive/precise enough for a game like this. I’m constantly looking down to see where I’m taping and if I’m missing. Even on the menu I have to tap “select” multiple times for it to register. It makes the platforming really difficult. Especially when you reach the jungle and encounter the platforms that drop after you touch them. I really really do not want to be negative as I know How much work went in and cannot be easy. I just want it to reach the potential it definitely has. I always thought the controls from Ravenous Games were spot on as an example. Really “tight” which is needed on games like this. I’m definitely staying with it as I want it to be a game I cant put down. orangepascal Well-Known Member May 4, 2010 786 103 43 games Netherlands http://www.orangepixel.net #11 orangepascal, Jun 25, 2019 I'm gonna look into those controls from something like Random Heroes.. but I feel like it's not so much a controls problem, but more a game-feel thing. I was contemplating writing something similar but didn’t want to bring negativity into the thread so early. The games are amazing and I have bought every single one, but the touch controls always break my heart and I stop after an hour or so every time. Sorry orangepascal Well-Known Member May 4, 2010 786 103 43 games Netherlands http://www.orangepixel.net #13 orangepascal, Jun 25, 2019 But do you have some more details on what exactly is not working for you or doesn't feel right to you? Even after sizing the buttons and placement changes, what exactly is not functioning how you expect it to function? (and I'm purely talking about in-game controls here.. the other stuff is gonna be fixed) Only way I can tackle this, is if I get more info on it from someone who can't become friends with the buttons ! What would be very helpful is if anybody could record playing the game and then use a camera to record the hands/display.. I've had people play the game without problems.. so there must be something more to this ! Your games are amazing i bought all of them and i never regret and i will buy every single one you bring out without even a second thought. In my personal opinion the controls are somehow not responding tho the characters movement. I think the movement (jump kick slash fall shoot etc.) happens so fast that you can not make many actions because your fingers are not fast enough (at least mine ). For example i need to jump on a platform i press the jump button the character jumps then before my finger touches the move button the character falls then i try to stabilize the character at the platform below where i fell then i fell even further. I think everything happens so fast (even though it looks like it does not) and it happens faster than my fingers can handle. I do not know if that helps English is not my native language neither if this is the real problem with the controls for me and again i am sorry if i sound negative i will email you any questions. I love Heroes of Loot 1 & 2 as well as Space Grunts and still play them regularly. Now about the concern with controls. I have never had a problem with them in any of the above mentioned games. I also have no problem with them in this game. I believe that is because I play on a large iPad Pro and all the problems above seem to be with the iPhone. So I post this in case there are others with the Pro who are hesitant to buy due to the problems with controls some people are having. With that being said there is however a some problems with the various Settings menus: Graphics: If you enter the menu and turn on/off the bulky graphics option the Gamma slider becomes unresponsive. Solution-you have to select Gamma first when you enter this menu. Input: Transparency; You are unable to select this. You can tap it and you quickly see the pointer select it but it disappears straight away and you are unable to adjust the transparency of the controls. Other control settings work fine. Audio: No problem selecting either Music or Sound volume sliders and adjusting. (and thanks for having actual sliders). Advanced: I can only select Random Game - on/off, no matter where I tap on the screen. I am unable to select Permadeath, Gore amount, Screen shake options. sakara214ever likes this. subgenius Well-Known Member May 30, 2014 149 34 28 #17 subgenius, Jun 25, 2019 Is there controller support?
