I love deckbuilding games that are not battle-based.I hope this is not. nlesgold Active Member Patreon Bronze May 22, 2011 37 8 8 RN Pittsburgh, PA #3 nlesgold, Jun 6, 2019 It's based on a tabletop card game. The main twists on the standard deckbuilding mechanics are the "card-crafting" and a mild press your luck mechanic. Card Crafting means you don't actually add cards to your deck, but you buy upgrades to your starting cards - it's possible for a single card in your deck to have 3-4 different things it does for you when played. The press your luck aspect comes in the form of a mechanic where some of your cards give you "Decay" when drawn - you can choose to draw extra cards to make your turn stronger, but if you max out Decay your turn ends prematurely instead. As far as interaction between players goes, it is on the low interaction side of things. There's a common play field of card upgrades, so buying an upgrade denies it to your opponent, and also there's a race to get the most points at the end of the game. No direct attacks on your opponent or disruption of their turns. I've only played the base game - there are several expansions, one of which is apparently included here (looks like the IAP are for buying additional expansions, Ascension-style), but I'm not familiar with their content or any mechanics they add. I'm very interested in this, but I'm sort of concerned about how it'll play on a 6S iPhone. I think anyone who likes this kind of game and has a tablet to play it on will like what they get if the app is made well. If anyone tries it on a non-plus sized phone I'd be curious to hear what you think. Talbs, Son of Anarchy and JasonLL like this. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #4 vectorarchitekt, Jun 6, 2019 I am going to buy it later. I’ll report back. As there are a number of bits of info down the left side, this is set just inside the notch and the rest is filler Dragan Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 365 7 18 Belgium #7 Dragan, Jun 9, 2019 Still waiting for you to report back ... skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #8 skoptic, Jun 11, 2019 I think pocket tactics review Is pretty accurate. The app is very pretty, The game is good but unless you adjust points required rounds are over quite quickly. But as it’s synchronise only most people should see this as a solo game rather than true multiplayer. I was part of the beta testing but haven’t bought the app since launch.
