Played it for a good 1 hour until i reached the camp, which was fun in the Dynasty Warriors sense (mindless killing of tons of enemies) with a LOT of good loot, weapons, achievment claims etc. At the first mention of a purchase to unlock the full game or to buy some cosmetics i would throw down 5-10 euros. But i reached the base camp, and now there is stamina, season passes, Iap weapons, 99 euro RECOMMENDED! purchase for gold, the whole thing. If the game keeps playing like it has (great loot, good fun) and doesnt hide the loot behind iaps and stop you from playing with stamina, i’d still be down to spend some money. But until it is clarified, i am not giving something. Also, the food/ drink system needs to go away as it is only a distraction, and the UI needs to be customisable. tldr: good mindless fun but unsure of monetisation and stamina systems. The game feels hand-holdy in some areas and then very hands-off in others. Question : . I’ve noticed my characters appearance changes with equipped gear in the menus, but does not change aside from weapons when actually running around. Intentional or a bug? Request : . Now, I’ve spend more than a few hours on this (on Chapter 8, level 16) and I guess I’m overdue to post something about it. Let me start by saying that I’ve spent $5 on coins, mostly to get the bonus lightsaber melee weapon. So far, I’ve used 0 coins. Not saying that the game may not force me to spend them later, but up to this point, there has been such abundant loot — both materials for crafting and a wide range of powerful weapons — that it would be silly to spend money. There are also a ton of achievements, bonuses, speed missions, defense missions, etc, all of which give you additional loot. And you don’t have to worry about the hunger/thirst mechanic: you’ll find plenty to eat and drink through out the game. As to the gameplay, I’ve heard people call this a brawler, even a Dynasty Warrior-like. In fact, this is basically a zombie- themed Diablo. It has the same rhythm as Diablo (from quiet exploration to an explosion of enemies), a similar clear narrative path (with lore dumps), a similar approach to skills and bosses, and, most important, the same incredibly rich environment to navigate. Fury Survivor is perhaps a bit more linear, but you get the same sense of overwhelming space that, for me at least, is the hallmark of the Diablo experience. On the later chapters you even get proper dungeons with traps, crypts, etc. There are games on mobile that look more like Diablo, but this one “feels” like it in a way I haven’t quite experienced on the platform. There’s also a surprising amount of story and even some emotional depths. A guy looking for his wife and child in a zombie apocalypse is a familiar trope, but there’s enough detail here to make it resonate emotionally. When you make it to your house, for example, and find it ransacked, it kind of hits you. And I haven’t even mentioned the light base management mechanics, the cute pets, the endless abyss mode, etc. Fury Survivor checks a lot of boxes for me, and I see myself playing it to completion (even if I don’t spend a ton of time on all the side activities). It would be great if it were premium, but so far for me it plays like a premium game. I would recommend that folks at least give it a try.
