Desktop version here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1012990/mini_PVP/ --Geeky stuff below-- mini PVP is designed to provide a "shot" of instant joy, with minimal "meta tracking" demanded from the player. The gameplay loop only adds two dramatic changes to the "core" competitive shooter experience: - Staying alive is as important as fragging rivals. - Different characters with mildly different stats and marginally different skills with relatively quick cooldowns. Your score increases with each rival you frag, but it also decreases every time you get fragged. Sounds harsh, right? Don't worry. Multiple consecutive frags worth more points! The characters in mini PVP all have different stats and skills, thus each are suitable for one of three play-styles: Balanced, Defensive, Aggressive. RANGER is a balanced character with average health and movement speed. Skill: BOOM! Throws 3 grenades at once! Grenades have a huge explosion radius. Useful for crowd/map control. DUFF is a defensive character with massive health at the expense of a lower movement speed. Skill: SHIELD Activates a damage absorbing shield that grants temporary invulnerability and minor health regeneration per bullet absorbed. SHADE is a character with an aggressive play-style. She is the fastest character, but she has the lowest health. Skill: SLICE Dash with high melee damage. Can be utilized both for close encounters and evasive maneuvers. Defies gravity. Increases movement speed. That's all the meta! The rest is just... Fun! Supported Devices: iPhone 7 / iPad (5th Gen) or better recommended. Older devices are NOT officially supported, but would be able to run the game enabling the experimental "Dynamic Resolution" in the Options for a better frame rate. (I myself have an iPhone 6+ and I play mini PVP using "Dynamic Resolution" myself, it's a bit glitchy for the first few seconds of each match, but I believe this is a minor trade off for a decent framerate, with all the effects and lighting still looking great!) Are there bots with difficulty settings? I love the look and idea, but I need the above questions answered before I pull the trigger. boorch Well-Known Member Aug 10, 2011 141 56 28 happydoze.com #4 boorch, Jun 1, 2019 Last edited: Jun 1, 2019 Hi! The game is multiplayer only (so needs internet) but bots are also available. After matchmaking for 10 seconds, the remaining slots in the lobby are filled with bots. Bots don't have any difficulty level as of now since the game is designed to be played human vs human. They are pretty dumb when it comes to strategy but they aim quite good and I guess they're alright for practice. Hopefully the player-base will grow larger and bots will be obsolete someday Maybe then I can add a separate feature like some sort of a "practice lobby" with bots. For the curious: (This is just an estimated calculation btw) In a match with 4 human players, the average data used is ~4kbytes/sec, meaning ~250kbytes of data downloaded/uploaded per match. I’ll have to check it out and leave impressions when I do. boorch likes this. boorch Well-Known Member Aug 10, 2011 141 56 28 happydoze.com #6 boorch, Jul 24, 2019 Hi folks! v1.2 Update is live on the App Store now! This version adds a new map (Lava Pool), tweaks physics and weapons (slightly slower gameplay and slightly lower gravity grants better control and aim overall) and removes cross-platform matchmaking with Desktop players (it was obviously unfair for mobile players).
