If it’s space related, I usually bite. I’m glad I did with this one as I see it staying on my phone for a long, long time. From audio to graphics to gameplay, I’m loving every aspect of this simple but very challenging gem. Vojislav Dimitrijevic likes this. From the lovely visuals, the fast game play, and the first rate Hans Zimmer style movie music this game has exceeded my expectations! What a fantastic couple of weeks with this and my other new favorite lunar lander Lunar Rescue Mission being released on mobile! By the looks of it I’ll probably finish it rather fast so I hope there are plans to expand. Superb app! Highly recommended!!! P.S. Really like how you get to customize your Lander! Wish there was a way to hide the HUD for uncluttered screenshots. Pure Eye Candy! TheSilveryWolf and Vojislav Dimitrijevic like this. I just wanted to post an important update here as well. Due to a problem that is being investigated at the moment, some incompatible devices are listed and allowed to install the app. Any devices that use a processor older than A8 are unfortunately not supported. This includes: - iPhone 5S & 6 - iPad Air 1 - iPad Mini 2 & 3 The problem lies in A7's partial support of the Metal Performance Shader functionality, and as such are flagged as supported devices, but do not support it fully, which causes a crash immediately after intro has finished playing. I am in contact with Apple as we speak and am trying to find a solution to eliminate that problem, if possible. On another note, THANK YOU for getting the game and I am incredibly happy that you like it! As a single person developer, it is truly special to hear that people like and appreciate the game after so much hard work. Thank you! It is it a lot different? Just not sure I need another Lunar Landing type game but this does look cool. HEiRAVON Well-Known Member Dec 3, 2015 214 24 18 #9 HEiRAVON, May 21, 2019 It’s completely different. If you ck out the vid you’ll see. It’s fairly fast paced and the viewing angle certainly gives it a different feel. It’s really all the different things that make it fun... the visuals, the storyline, the custom Landers, and the Music. Well worth the price of a horrible cup of Starbucks coffee. anthony78 and metalcasket like this. HEiRAVON Well-Known Member Dec 3, 2015 214 24 18 #10 HEiRAVON, May 21, 2019 Thank you! Whereas the normal lunar lander-type games focus on safe landings after successful navigation, this is an evolution of the genre, successfully bridging the gap between arcadey avoidance and a proper landing simulator. It’s flipping gorgeous, brilliant, so much fun and has that “okay, just one more before I bugger off” aspect to it. raravan, Vojislav Dimitrijevic, HEiRAVON and 1 other person like this. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #12 anthony78, May 22, 2019 Thanks guys. DonnyDJ76 Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2011 1,793 58 48 Male Teacher Hackensack, NJ #14 DonnyDJ76, May 22, 2019 Definitely a lot of fun, 5 stars. An additional suggestion for version 1.1 would be to let the player restart the mission during any point in time as you land your ship. Sometimes the player knows within 5 seconds that they need to restart the mission after going off course or getting hit by an asteroid. Metalcasket sums up the game perfectly. I still haven't found the perfect way on iPhone how to call up the, essentially "pause menu". The best candidate was a corner button, at the top left, however, beta testing revealed that some, not many, but definitely some users preferred to play by tapping the upper corners and they found it frustrating to constantly pause the game. So, I'm back to the drawing board, thinking of gestures vs UI vs notches vs... who knows what else. But the feature IS in the game and will definitely be a part of v1.1.
