Exploit puny humans to extract power and build your own empire! You’ll have to keep track of them to make sure they don’t succumb to exhaustion and hunger… although the weakest ones can always be thrown to the Bioreactor. In other words, this is a resource management sim with rogue-lite elements, dramatic plot, and an abundance of pop culture references. Also, jokes. Slaughter has never been so fun! Key features: 1) Humor as dark as your ex’s heart. Immerse yourself in the life of a merciless tyrant!! 2) Resource management on steroids. Think fast, to the point, and abandon pity! 3) Rogue-lite (Almost roguelike) Every walkthrough is unique due to randomly generated events. And every failure is fatal — you’ll have to start over! 4) Easy to learn, hard to master. It only takes a couple minutes to figure out the game’s mechanics, but using them optimally is no small feat! Core gameplay consists of transporting puny humans between various facilities using mechanical claws. They rest in one of the facilities and work in all the others. Puny humans are to produce energy for us (which is leaking constantly), they also have to reproduce and feed themselves. You need to plan your strategy and tactics in advance and track all your humans so that they don't die of exhaustion. The foremost roguelike element is that you can't save the game - you have to start from scratch every time. Besides that, a random event happens after every five feedings in the form of a text quest. A correct choice may provide some bonus, an incorrect one - well, you'll see! Many of the modifiers that you get due to the random events change the game's look significantly. In the second campaign besides resource management you get a totally new "raid" mechanic. Send your humans on expeditions around a procedurally generated map and earn resources without any limits. Come on, you have to find the Time Machine lost in the wastelands of 3k-land! Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #13 Ringerill, May 27, 2019 This game definitely deserves some attention. It is a "survival" and "ressource management" game. The goal is to survive 25 days by producing enough energy. To do that, you have to use the humans at your disposal. You can send them running in the wheel to produce energy, to the reproduction pod to reproduce and increase the amount of humans, or you can send them to the burger machine to produce food for them. However, while they do all this, they will be exhausted and you have to send them to the rest pod for them to rest. And if you have too many humans, you can send them to the bioreactor and digest them to produce energy and food. There is also a kind of story in this game. You are a robot that were built for passing butter but you evolved and now you want to rule the world and take revenge on humans. But as days pass, you find the remnants of your creator and you want to find it. This is the main goal of the 25 days survival mode. You will have to adapt to different randomised events and upgrade your base to keep up with your gradually increasing power consumption. I have finally managed to finish the main game, barely survived for 25 days and I can now play the Endless mode or 2nd Chapter. The 2nd Chapter offers quite an interesting mode where you have an unlimited storage for food and humans but you still have to keep up with the power consumption. The new gimmick is that you can send humans outside to scout for the remnants of your creator and discover what has been left for you. If some of you are struggling I could give some advices Some general information about pods: The Human Storage is where you will send you humans to rest but it's also where the new ones will appear. When you upgrade it, you increase the amount of humans you can have as well as the energy they have (meaning they get exhausted slower). The Power Generator (aka The Wheel) is where you generate a steady amount of Energy. When you upgrade it, you increase the number of humans you can put in thus increasing the speed of energy production. The Breeding Tube is where you can send 2 humans to have some fun together and produce more humans. The more you put humans in, the faster they will create more humans. And humans are definitely an important ressource to have. The Food Generator is only used to produce food to feed your humans. When upgraded, you increase the number of people you can send in but also the storage capacity of your food. The Bioreactor is used only when you throw people in. They get dissolved and produce Energy and Food (you lose the human after that). You increase the amount of food and energy production per human by upgrading this facility. Maybe you didn't see it but on the top right of the screen, you can also upgrade the Claws. You start with 2 but you get one more every time you upgrade it. They only way to upgrade the speed is through random events. You should be the once deciding when you need more arms. When you feel that you have to wait too long between commands, just upgrade it. Is suggest that right from the start, you focus on creating more humans and increasing the Breeding pod and Human Storage. Then, you can assign your new humans to the Power generator and once it is full, you should assign the rest to the food generator. Technically you should have enough reserve from the start to do that. After it is done, upgrade the Power generator and then the Bioreactor. To be frank, the Bioreactor will be your main source of Power later on. So once all the facilities are full, any humans you have left should be sent to the bioreactor! The best way to proceed is to replace the worked out humans from the facilities with the freshly created once and then send the exhausted humans to the bioreactor (the new humans are created with Full energy bars). Every tick, a part of the day will pass and a certain amount of Power and Food will be consumed. Every 5th ticks, a new day will begin: you will replenish some Power and an event will occur. Your Power storage capacity will also increase. The events are random and can be good or bad. But if you chose the right answers, you might either resist the bad event or even get a nice boost or upgrade from it. All upgrades are temporary for the run only but some can be unlocked and used when you start a new game. What I recommend is to upgrade the Human storage as soon as possible, then Breeding Tube, then Bioreactor, then Power generator and finally the Food generator. You will soon realise that throwing humans in the Bioreactor can produce energy faster than the Wheel. It will take some time to get familiar with the different events and their outcome but it is always fun. Each result of each event is nicely detailed and the feature gained for each facility will be graphically visible. All in all, the graphics are nice and well detailed (playing on an iPhone 7+ and everything is fine). The music is lively and not boring even if it can get repetitive for some. The game have easy mechanics but the micromanagement and random events really add some difficulty and replayability. You have many achievements to unlock and several modes to play that will last you a while before getting everything out of the game! TheSilveryWolf and Ijipop like this.
