I get frustrated when they call these games platformers as to me a platformer is left/right not a runner. I watched the video just hoping to see the character go left But as i love the 80's as well i'm very tempted, lots of detail seems to have been put into this so i'm very tempted and will probably pick this up later touchette, houseofg and aussiepaul like this. Picking this up for sure. [EDIT] The controls are simple and the collectibles are so awesome! Seeing all the NES carts and VHS tapes (The Shining ) and cassettes on the shelf is really cool. If you tap on them it even gives you a little info - sweet little details. The references to 80s culture is heftily slathered on - I notice more every run. This is great for a quick game here and there. So far I’ve unlocked the double jump and have been replaying some levels to get all the items. Loving it! Dan Camaro and touchette like this. It started as a full on platformer, but for mobile - well on screen joysticks are just terrible and MFI was still pretty new then. There are a lot of platforming mechanics and controls. We really wanted to make it feel like a platformer. There is even some running left There are reverse points, stop points, portals, ladders, side climbing, slides, and most types of platforms you can imagine. Another thing we did was add combination moves (patterns on the two buttons) as you go. In addition to the basic double jump and slide abilities you are able to backflip which allows you to control timing of obstacles. And then dive-bomb to kill opponents or break through the ground into new areas. Hope that helps you make up your mind!
