A lot of wasted screen real estate. Should have figured after Indian Summer. Looks great but too much screen is gone. andsoitgoes likes this. skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #3 skoptic, Mar 1, 2019 Good game, good app Heavier Euro than some others, closer to Terra but a better app than that. andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #4 andsoitgoes, Mar 5, 2019 Damn. This is what I was worried about. I know it’s a lot for a phone screen, but I had high hopes it would be expanded for the X/XS/XS Max screen. I don’t understand how games are releasing on these platforms without being fully optimized for the current devices. I guess I’ll have to wait on this then. Damn. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #5 ShinHadoukin, Mar 5, 2019 I will say, despite wasted screen space it is a beautiful quality app. Works great. I want full screen but I’m not disappointed I have the game. andsoitgoes likes this. andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #6 andsoitgoes, Mar 5, 2019 Would you be able to show what it looks like? I never remember if taking a screen shot shows it properly. I have a Max and I know terra mystica is mostly full screen although the navigation bar at the bottom still shows as active. Which is weird, because Puzzle Quest Freemium works just fine in “acknowledging” the bar and disabling it. It’s really weird. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 970 141 43 #7 ShinHadoukin, Mar 6, 2019 I tried a screen shot and I got an error message that the file was too large. Specifically allows you to resize photos. I sometimes use “Image size”. skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #9 skoptic, Mar 6, 2019 I think fully optimised means catering for the screen space, but letterboxing is allowed. To be honest, getting a digital adaptation of a great board game, in a solid app, with multiple AI levels and great async multiplayer far outweighs 2cm of letterboxing IMO. But over on BGG there’s all sorts of folks who find many issues to deny themselves a great game for less than I spent on lunch... personally i’m very happy playing it on my XS Max anywhere, anytime.
