I believe blocking works like this: Monsters have a gauge that slowly fills. When filled, it will attack you. If you clear a combination, you reset the gauge to zero. IN ADDITION, sometimes 1 or 2 numbers will appear to the left of the monster with shield signs. If they do, clearing just any tiles no longer blocks. Best thing I can suggest is to make another App Store account and download the game. I downloaded the game with my US account. While I cannot support the dev by purchasing anything I can at least see how the game plays and if it is worth getting when/if it is released in my country. Ive also found that sometimes multiple combos also resets the gauge. Concerning pets, you have to unlock the prison on the main screen to be able to use pets. once you do you can use the cow etc which unlock for gems and not coins. Not 100% on scoring either but if you hit certain combos you get a scoring multiplier. EX: if you hit a 5-6-7 combo you get a 8X score combo which you need to do to get a high score/Treasure box to unlock better charecters. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
