Smooth gameplay, haven't figured out the unit upgrades and costs as the game seems to give you resources to get them up a couple levels through the beginning. Over the years we've gotten to watch it devolve into a mess. With CnC 4, they changed the very fabric of the game with the "crawler" mechanic, those stupid mobile bases you had to use. CnC 3 was the last one I really truly enjoyed. I don't really have much of a a point to this, other than to say Im really bummed by the state of gaming right now. When an entire industry is under investigation because Loot Boxes are potentially considered gambling, I have to ask, when did devs stop caring about the games they make and more about raking in large sums of money? I suppose thats why im so thankful for indy devs who put their ideas into a labor of love. Ill finish with this: Fuck EA. ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 972 143 43 #13 ShinHadoukin, Dec 8, 2018 This game is no more monetized than any in its similar genre on mobile. RTS (C&C) players will never be happy. They could have made a 100% full C&C game and nobody would buy it b/c “it’s just too expensive for a mobile game.” If they did buy it they would complain about the controls and tell us all we should play it on PC for the real experience. No, this is not a full C&C game but it is a good game for what its goal was: make a quick PVP mobile game. They used the IP well to make a version that is different. You can move units around rather than put them down and they just walk a line until the base. That is a huge difference from all the other so-called, “Clash Royale” clones. Controlling a battlefield & moving units around is the most basic fundamental of C&C (very basic) & it works great here. EA sucks, fine, mobile F2P sucks, fine but this game achieved its goal as a quality use of its IP to make a quick PVP mobile game. If they were selling us on a full experience then this game would be garbage. Hopefully everyone would buy CIV 6, Rome: Total War, etc. and we may someday have a real RTS. Until then, I’ll play some quick matches when I have a minute on lunch break. There are MULTIPLE strategy games on the app store that let you do that and more. No. Just. No. It is a CR clone. Through and through. They aped a loved IP in a power move to pull in more consumers who would gladly drop cold hard cash for a real CnC title. I see where you are coming from, but I STRONGLY disagree. ON TOP OF THIS, you state "RTS players will never be happy." Last i checked mobile has ALWAYS lacked a true to form RTS. You are correct, until we see a true RTS, we won't be all that happy with the lack of options on the app store, especially considering the RTS genre as we know it has been shaved down and sterilized over the years to suit those gamers that dont like "base building or resource gathering." hence, games like CR, or Dawn of Titans, or any other "Strategy" game on the app store. I literally spend any free money I have on premium titles on the app store. I would GLADLY drop money for a premium RTS, that was done right. Hell, even in short bursts. But this isn't done right and I feel your response is both passive aggressive and demeaning. Im glad you will enjoy short bursts on your lunch break. Congratulations. However, I stated previously, most gamers who remember this franchise wont like it, not because its a bad CnC games, but because it is a BAD GAME PERIOD. Its worse that it's using a franchise that has a fan base who have been waiting for something good for way too long, especially when there are already 50 carbon copies of CR on the app store... .we dont need another. I buy lots of premium games on mobile and even with simplified controls I'd be happy with any good non-ftp RTS. Gameloft made a great Starcraft clone long ago when the used to make incredible premium games. Iron Marines by Ironhide honestly I think is amazing as a simplified RTS but it does lack the complexity of a seasoned series like C&C. But back to my point, I'd be happy if they made a premium mobile C&C and would easily pay for it (unless the price was as much as a console game) so don't say C&C fans "will never be happy". I gotta agree with you. Tiberium Wars was my last favorite C&C game. That game was really incredible. I still get itches to play it every now and then, along with my other favorite Red Alert 2. It was really well done. pathogen541 Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2016 503 355 63 #16 pathogen541, Dec 10, 2018 YESSSS TIBERIUM WARS was amazing. Red Alert 3 was a lot of fun too, if not a bit on the nose (I mean for gods sake, the russian's super units were literally bomb dropping sickle and hammer blimps) Bring those to mobile!! I honestly don't understand why a a true to form RTS has not been made or released for iOS at this point. I know there is a couple but it seems like such a good fit.....Could you imagine if they ported games like Supreme Commander or the old age of empires games to mobile?
