L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #2 L.Lawliet, Dec 1, 2018 I picked this up yesterday after seeing it recommended on the appstore. I'm a huge Transformers fan! Really awesome game with great sound and art. Great for quick play sessions. However problems start to arise after 1 day of playing. It's a bit too f2p. The usual dual currency with watching ads to 2x rewards. But then there are ads sometimes between levels, then you have daily challenges that REQUIRE you to watch ads to complete them. This isn't cool at all. The control starts off fine but as the game gets harder you'll notice that it has issues because the controls do not reorient themselves as you move so you slowly end up moving your finger further and further up the screen. This becomes a huge issue when there are segments where you need to navigate precisely. Then lastly, the premium currency is the biggest issue. After you upgrade your robots with standard currency, you have to use premium to evolve them. Premium can be found in the game but very scarcely. And you need this same currency to buy new robots. So basically you'll always have an issue with this. Even if you used the ads to double your output, you'd still take many many months to progress. Your low grade robots become quickly useless as you progress through the game so you definitely cannot avoid evolving them. It's pretty much impossible to "save" premium currency to buy your favorite robot because you need to use that for evolving your current and older robots, unless you're okay being stuck in the same spot in the game. Also as a side note, there's no cloud saving. Games nowadays should always have cloud save. Especially ones that have lots of progression or games that you'd like to put on other devices. So overall, an amazing game that actually got wrecked though f2p. There's no good IAP except a permanent coin doubler but coins are relatively useless since you really need the gem premium currency. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #3 ramzarules, Dec 2, 2018 i found the control horrible and extremely unresponsive after the 3rd stage. No settings to change sensitivity, so i deleted it. Plus, the stage design is that of a vertical scroller taken down to horizontal, so there are extremely tight segments. I didnt play long enough to comment on the f2p but i trust L. Sad, this could have been great. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
