We’ve worked on polishing the game to adapt it as perfectly as possible for a mobile version (adjusting the difficulty or speed of some elements and enemies, for example), while staying true to the spirit of the original PC version. Mysterious world, great visuals, awesome sounds, ‘silent’ storytelling, nice puzzles and mechanics, spot on controls. This game checks all my fav boxes about Metroidvanias (a match in heaven with proper controls on iOS imho, sadly there are too few games on the platform). I may be the only one in the world, but I like a ton more these touch controls than the default steam WASD ones, in particular the blue/red gloves. It’s super natural here, I was able to use them (and the teleport) inmuch more comfortable way. I’ll be back with more impressions after playing more...can’t wait to be tucked in bed with AirPods and immerse myself in this world. I know already I’ll regret this tomorrow morning but.....sorry not sorry. If I may suggest something (too bad I didn’t know about the beta!) personally I don’t like that much the AppStore trailer. It isn’t that representative of the general mood of the game, music in particular. Seems too joyous, while the game is dark and mysterious as I like my Metroidvanias... A very minor thing in what seems a glorious port of an excellent game. Will probably get a spot in my GOTY list. Also...assuming it wasn’t a cruel joke , every money thrown at the dev is money well spent, if they are indeed porting Dead Cells on mobile too. Gwarmaxx likes this.
