You have to get past the tutorial and play a few actual battles in order to understand how everything works. And please do. The game itself deserves it. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #3 Asp, Oct 25, 2018 Bit of a surprise this one in that there are some original mechanics involved. Simple but interesting. As mentioned by @Vash85 it’s best learned through trial and error due to the ineffective tutorial. From what I’ve figured out the idea is to line up 3 or 4 cards in a row, including diagonally, and prevent your opponent from doing so by way of strategic placement and using the combat abilities of some cards. A completed line reduces the life of the opposing player. At the same time, cards have to be placed on certain squares which provide energy - needed to power abilities on cards which have them. Also there are are cards which attack opponent characters on the board rather than the player. These are not placed on the board but another card can be played onto the board directly afterwards in the same turn. I’ve probably made it sound more complicated than it actually is. Bladejay Well-Known Member Apr 18, 2013 45 2 8 #4 Bladejay, Oct 25, 2018 Definitely agree that the tutorial needs some help. Had no idea what was really going on afterwards. Would have been nice to talk about card synergies and deckbuilding more. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #5 hellscaretaker, Oct 25, 2018 Also you can move cards already on the board to attack other cards if you not realised this Jerutix Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2009 1,754 65 48 Male Ministry Oklahoma https://www.discord.gg/kingrabbit #6 Jerutix, Oct 25, 2018 I was running this on a mid range Android phone with lower RAM, and I finally just deleted it because it was lagging so much. I actually think the gameplay is pretty interesting, but it's wild how much it taxed my phone for such a simple concept. They really need a bare-bones mode with no particles, cut-scenes, or backgrounds. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #7 hellscaretaker, Oct 25, 2018 To be honest i'm a bit puzzled with this release. I played the soft launch version see my recording below and it actually had a better tutorial then the full release, it seems they took a lot of it out.. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #8 hellscaretaker, Oct 25, 2018 Thats the problem with android with so many different models it will work better on some then others. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #9 Asp, Oct 25, 2018 Thanks, I didn’t know that. Will make a big difference! JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #10 JasonLL, Oct 26, 2018 I agree with both of you. The tutorial is terrible but the game is really good. The best way I can describe it for people who are interested in downloading is basically the gameplay is Tic-Tac-Marvel, Tic-Tac-Toe / Connect 4 hybrid with power ups. You do damage by creating a vertical 4 in row, diagonal 3 in a row or a horizontal 3 in a row on the 3x4 grid. The games mechanics are well thought out, it gets a lot more strategic down the line. I rerolled 10 or so times trying to get an epic but that never happened so I kept an account with 4 rares seeing as they give you a couple free epics anyway. All in all it's a great game, hopefully they keep it updated frequently to hold our interest. Maillard55 Member Jun 6, 2014 14 0 1 #13 Maillard55, Oct 26, 2018 Feel the same about the tutorial. Had no clue and then I kind of figured it out. Even on an iPad though, the icons are pretty small and it's tough to see your health/attack on each guy with so many things going on. Didn't realize you could move a piece either until it happened to me. One question though, if anyone knows: I see the green "thumbs-up" appears on the board during your movement for the optimal position(s) of the character, but when I'm in my deck, I see the same green icon on a card when they're not in my deck but in the collection of cards. I feel like they're telling me to use it but sometimes I think it's weaker than my other cards for certain things. Anyone know why they're showing this icon and what it means on the card itself? Thanks! Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #14 Asp, Oct 26, 2018 You are probably right that the icon is highlighting strong cards - compared to others in the pool, though not necessarily better than those in the selected deck. But who knows, the operational details of this game seem to be a closely guarded secret. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
