Great graphics So far played a few duels and got some blueprints to 'craft'. Miss a mini map on the screen as often i've then ploughed straight into the wall as i didnt realise it was a right turn etc. Glad it has the 'left/right' side controls (The old F1 game had that horrible mini steering wheel). I'll play this for sure but if it forces me to play multiplayer at some point to move up a division i'll probably delete If this was like the old F1 game with a career mode/championship i would love it Cooper04 likes this. Heck, even if they make a f1 2017 or 2018 mobile that costed even 20$ I would buy it. stelph Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Nov 16, 2016 249 41 28 #4 stelph, Oct 17, 2018 Requires constant internet access and has removed the touch steering wheel and accelerator/brake controls - because of that it’s a no go to replace F1 2016 in my eyes, what a shame Cooper04 likes this. However if you win it doesnt seem to do much ? No points or that, how do you move up to the next set of tracks ? Had a few online races, lost the first 4 but won the last 3. Be disappointing though if the only way you progress is to keep playing duels. Wish this had a single player league competition as the gameplay is great Cooper04 likes this. From what I can tell, the only way to progress and unlock circuits is to compete in duels. The single races do not appear to contribute in any way to progress.. Agreed, single player championship would make this one of the best on iOS.. Sadly at the moment it falls short psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #11 psj3809, Oct 19, 2018 Yeah i've been playing it a fair bit actually. There are challenges for the single player mode but as you say it does nothing to get you up on the leaderboard to progress to the next league Played a lot of duels now and got up to about 220/300 points but everytime you lose you lose points and i'm back down to about 80 now ! The duels are frustrating, one minute the opponents car seems to disappear then be in front, next minute another tactic is to keep ramming you at the start so you eventually crash/get stuck and lose. One race i was winning with 2 bends left then the controls went strange and i hit a wall and couldnt move. Went back to F1 2016 and its funny how the graphics look dated now. But prefer that due to the league. Actually bought an IAP in this game but regret that ! Dont think i'll be playing much more if its just duels after duels. If they made the single player better i would keep with that for sure. Just frustrating, i'm not going to beat some 16 year old kid from Kentucky who plays the game 24/7 Usual issues, decent game ruined by the freemium style model GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #12 GPS, Oct 19, 2018 Agreed, it's a real shame, The duels tend to get a bit tedious after a while, I was able to play this during soft launch, but Ive found I want to play less and less now psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #13 psj3809, Oct 19, 2018 I'll stick to Grid Autosport, love that game. Think i'll delete F1 now but if there was an update with improvements for single player i would reinstall straight away. If this game was a premium priced 9.99 game with a brilliant single player campaign i would buy that instantly GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #14 GPS, Oct 19, 2018 Second all of that! Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #15 Ringerill, Oct 21, 2018 There seems to be a lot of game braking issues with this title. The fact that you can only progress through Duels online should mean that this is the most important and therefore most polished part of the game. But it is not, on the contrary. Sometimes, the AI cars just ignore you and slam you in the wall without any reason (they seem to simply follow a traced path and that's basically it, they do not acknowledge your presence on the track whatsoever). Sometimes, they do not start at the beginning, making you slam into them when you do, or sometimes they stop right in front of the finish line, making you slam into them and losing the duel because of your broken car. Most of the time, the opponents slam into you from the rear, cut the bends or even just stop driving at some point, making you slam into them. Sure the challenges could be a nice way of making you occupied while chaining duels but why do the duels only last 1 lap and can not be set from the start remains a mystery... Also, did someone managed to find the "Free daily pack" somewhere? There is a Daily Pack but it costs 75 credits... (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
