Maybe what they meant was the fact that there are monsters in the "jungle" and that you can level up and buy gear with gold? Well anyway, it's your umpteenth Battle Royale game Fortnite-like, with an IAP fest with tickets, gold, gems, etc to buy Skins, unlock weapons and gear. Classic F2P sure, but why do I have of be of a certain level to enjoy all features of the game and why can't I have access to the full panel of gear without buying them first (and they cost a lot btw!). It's like you couldn't access cars in PUBG if you did not reach level 10 and spent days on gathering gold to buy just the van (yeah, not you do not unlock all the gears, just one specific type). Well, I guess it is the equivalent of unlocking characters as you only have 1 character that equips different gear. But it feels like a ripoff when they mix the IAP of Battle Royals and MOBA games together... But appart from this "feature" of the F2P, the game in itself does not seem to be that appealing. It is not fluid, lags a lot, the looting window is way to small on an iPhone... Appart from the layout, the fact that the game is unstable and that you have a latency of 1 second between the moment you click on a skill and the moment it is used, this makes the game look like an old badly coded game And I do not rage because I have won all my games because I managed to take advantage of the fact it lagged. Meaning, if you can create yourself a tank, do it, because it is almost impossible to aim correctly with you spells and arrows and at the end, your opponent will reach you with ease. And then of course you have some other details such as the battery and cellular data consumption which is way higher than, say for instance Vainglory (which looks much more gorgeous and do not lag at all). All in all, I do not know what I was expecting when I read MOBA+Battle Royale but even if the core mechanisms look cool, I did not really enjoy the gameplay and even after trying several games, it was always the same story... boydstr Well-Known Member Sep 25, 2016 155 11 18 Male Gamer Netherlands #5 boydstr, Oct 21, 2018 Thanks for your info, from what I could see and like that it is not so fast paced..... boydstr Well-Known Member Sep 25, 2016 155 11 18 Male Gamer Netherlands #6 boydstr, Oct 21, 2018 I rather pay upfront for a game just because of the way that the developers want to make money from their games so that there comes a point in the game that you need to spend or grinding for hours to proceed. Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #7 Ringerill, Oct 21, 2018 Indeed, I feel the same. Sure, this sort of games are most of the time F2P but then again, the things you pay for should be cosmetics and maybe characters. But the game is still enjoyable, just not really polished. You have always something to aim at (daily, weekly and monthly challenges are here) and technically you do not have to pay for playing the game. But at one point, you surely will come face to face with opponents having massive runes giving them bonuses (like attack speed, HP% absorb, HP% regen, etc) and you will not be able to do anything against it. I am also quite impressed how loose the ranking system is when matchmaking. But my recommendations stays the same: get a melee build and go wreck everyone. The Double Axe is the best suited in my opinion (or you could use the Scythes for more DPS if you can allow it). With the Double Axe, you basically summon a Bear that deals damage, slows the enemy and stuns him from time to time. Also, you can buff yourself and the bear for increased DMG and Speed. In case the opponent is fleeing, you have an attack that sends a wave in front of (that comes back too) which slows the opponent and deals damage. And if you run low on potions or if you want an immediate Heal in desperate situations, simply sacrifice you bear to receive quite a nice Heal immediately (this can be paired with the fact that the cool downs are progressing while the bear is active, meaning that you can summon it, wait for timer to reset, sacrifice him for some HP and resummon him again immediately). Not kidding, I managed to stay alive alone against 2 or 3 people at the same time with this build alone boydstr Well-Known Member Sep 25, 2016 155 11 18 Male Gamer Netherlands #8 boydstr, Oct 25, 2018 I will try the game when it is released in the Netherlands mabey it surprises me in a positive way I like the graphics and I hope I feel the same for the gameplay.
