Just picked up the new iPhone XS... what’s going to be the best game to really show off the new hardware? I know the Elder Scrolls will be it once it comes out... but until then what’s the move?

Also does anyone know what the heck Chair Entertainment has been up to?

Getting mine in a few hours. Problem is I’ve got soooo many games on my old iPhone I hope they’re all playable on the new one. Don’t mind a black bar etc if it’s not optimised but just hope I don’t lose lots

Very pricey but I gave in. Had my iPhone 7 for 2 years so it’s time to change

I feel you! Had an iPhone 6S still running iOS 10 (and the Touch Arcade app for that matter!) but boy does this XS feel nice.

Also, good to see you’re still here psj. It’s been a while!

Cheers. Hope the re installation of all my apps will be okay. Presume some will be lost. Had issues last time

Yeah still enjoying iOS gaming but I don’t get as many games as I used to. In the heyday I had 5 or 6 games a week. Now not so many but so many games on my phone I have to play them ! Seem to hoarde them !

Hope I can still download all the pinball arcade tables as they lost the license to many of them. Apparently as long as you’ve bought them you can but we’ll see

Arriving in the next 90 mins

Best of luck... let me know if it all works out!

Haven’t bought an iOS game myself since the Exploding Kittens app dropped I don’t think.... had almost all games on my old phone deleted except for Flip Flop Solitaire and Kung Fury bc I was so tight for space.

I went for a 256 GB as that’s what my current phone is. How you finding the new phone ? Most games work okay on it ?

Also went for the 256 (used to have a 64) and the games that I have tried run absolutely flawlessly. Haven’t played any “classics” that may not have iOS 11 support so can’t say as far as that.... but dear god this machine is a beast! Gave FORTNITE a whirl just to push it to the limits and I got smooth 30 FPS all the way through. Remarkable really, this thing has a better CPU than my 2017 mac book pro

Arrgh. Now been changed to delivery from now till 10pm. Pain !

I hope the older games are at least playable. Also ahem bought an Apple Watch 4 (non phone one). Amazing screen on that

But can’t wait to get the phone. As long as it turns up today I’ll be happy !

Edit - just turned up. Restoring backup now !

All good. Love the phone. But annoying that white bar on apps (so you know how to close it)

I see some apps need work such as into the dead 2 but it’s still totally playable. Titan quest wasn’t so I’ve unloaded that.

Tried a few others and I don’t mind that they’re not optimised as I can still play them

    Amazing screen though.
