Haha... my daughter is now 10 months old and I’m glad to finally get to be in to “play” a few more games in between other baby things to do! Super excited to see the progress that been made in this game and can’t wait to try uploading a csv file in the future. I remember when this was first released and discussed the idea on how cool it would be if this game could be like Konami Pro Evolution Soccer which didn’t have real teams but the editor in the game allowed users to create their own files and it allowed many leagues, teams, and players to become part of the game! Any idea where to find files in the future? Unsure of what google searches might help? Maybe psf2019 csv ios? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #6 psj3809, Aug 30, 2018 I played this tons last year, had an amazing QB who won a ton of championships for me. I do LOVE the historical stats and year by year stats of players etc. Also started playing it like a GM, e.g i do all the roster moves/draft/odd trade and then sim the whole year. The stats that creates after say year 50 are amazing to look at ! Then you get the tough decisions of do you start your old 37 year old QB whos stats are now terrible but you want him to have one more season starting to beat the passing records etc. A really enjoyable game ProStrategyFootball Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2013 411 15 18 #7 ProStrategyFootball, Aug 30, 2018 Hey, thanks, everyone! I'm heading out for a bit, but I'll be back later, and add some comments. Turns out there's a caveat on using File Sharing on iOS (it's goofy), but you can also use the Files app. If you're on Steam, it turns out that your game folders can be hidden by Windows, and you have to unhide them! I swear, it's always something, LOL! But no bugs so far, just these annoyances. I'm researching ways to make the whole file sharing much easier, just short on time. This is the link I have from a guy, see if he shared it globally or just with me. It has the real league and real images. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1HfsHZoeqP97V15GktYN21sIpbyMNeYbw?usp=sharing Back later! p.s. sorry to have to ask this, but if you're enjoying the game, please help its visibility by rating and reviewing each release of PSF 2019 (I'll be pushing updates later). I want to play your game on my Iphone, which has only ios 10 installed. I don´t want to lose some apps due to the 64 bit requirement from Apple, so it would be great if you could do something. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #9 psj3809, Aug 30, 2018 I feel your pain ! I’m a app-o-holic and had about 800 apps on my phone. Lost loads due to the appocalypse. At some point you will have to give in ! I bought an old iPad 2 ($100) just to put all my old 32 bit games on it as I bought it as it had the old iOS on it At some point you’ll be beaten down and the latest apps won’t be able to go down to ios10. Shame but like I say get an old old device just to keep many of them. This games well worth getting ! imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #10 imdakine1, Aug 30, 2018 I’m not that tech savvy and was trying to see if anyone got the google drive files to work with using the iPhone alone? I’m on vavaction and don’t have my MacBook and was trying to see if I could use the google drive link and save the files somewhere and try to upload into the game using my iPhone or iPad without a MacBook. So far unsure how to save the files acting clicking the link to my iPhone or iPad. I think I saved the csv in files but the others haven’t given me options to save it in files. Any advice would be awesome! ProStrategyFootball Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2013 411 15 18 #11 ProStrategyFootball, Aug 30, 2018 A friend told me about the iOS Files app, and it's PERFECT for what you're doing, and actually better than the iTunes approach. You open the Files app and look at locations. You can have your cloud as a location, among others. I just did this: 1) Opened the Files app and made sure I was looking at the Locations list 2) clicked on "iCloud Drive" (you could go to dropbox, etc, too, I believe) 3) found the file I wanted and held it down until it highlighted, then released 4) a menu appeared, and I clicked "Copy" 5) Went back to Locations, then to "On My iPhone" 6) "PSF 2019" appears, so click on it 7) click on "leagues" if you're copying a league, or "images" if you're copying a folder of images 8) tap a blank area until a menu appears, and simply tap "Paste" I was able to paste a single league into the leagues folder and a complete images folder into a new images subfolder (DO NOT OVERWRITE THE images/default FOLDER) Easy! And if you need to create a new folder, like under images, tap and hold until the menu appears and tap "New Folder" I hope this works for you! ProStrategyFootball Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2013 411 15 18 #12 ProStrategyFootball, Aug 30, 2018 I'm sorry, I wish I could, but I can't. :-( ProStrategyFootball Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2013 411 15 18 #13 ProStrategyFootball, Aug 30, 2018 Hey, BTW, a new option that some folks like is that you can now watch any game be played live, including any career game, even other teams - and I improved the "watch sim game" to not pause at all now. In fact, if you want, you can even coach other teams in career play, but you manage only your team in the draft, offseason, etc. imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #14 imdakine1, Aug 31, 2018 I used your steps and got it to work but I put the real league csv in the import / export folder. Not sure how to dl the images and where to put them but for now I at least have the real teams and players... I hope to add he other files when I learn how to dl then to the iPhone as using files does seem to be easy! Love the game so far. Niners 26-19 over Minnesota with a last minute drive and TD! ProStrategyFootball Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2013 411 15 18 #15 ProStrategyFootball, Aug 31, 2018 Grats on the win, sounds exciting! Ok, I use the Files app on the phone, found it to be better than iTunes. Another guy uses iExplorer or something like that, and another uses iFunBox. Sounds like you used the Files app. First, some clarification: 1) leagues (binary files that have the .lgs extension) go in your "leagues" folder, and you need those 2) csv files are editable, and are optional, but necessary for editing; you have to convert them to leagues 3) images are stored in separate folders under the images folder. So, say you want to have two sets of images named "nfl" and "colleges" 1) in the Files app navigate to PSF 2019 and into the images folder. You'll probably see a folder named "default" (if you don't, that's ok) 2) create two folders named nfl and colleges 3) navigate to some location where you have the nfl images, select them all, and select "Copy" from a popup menu 4) navigate BACK to the nfl folder you created and paste the images there 5) repeat the same process for the colleges images and folder So, now your image folder has three subfolders: default, nfl, colleges. One last step (and I'll make this more straightforward in the first patch). Get ready, this is wonky. 1) open the Leagues Management screen (the list of leagues) 2) tap on the league you want to edit (ONE CAVEAT ON CAREER LEAGUE - SEE BELOW) 3) in the popup menu, tap Edit 4) now, what was intended to be the league editor appears, with one button on it, labeled League. Tap that button. 5) ok, you now see some text fields you can edit. Edit the one for "Images Folder" - type in either nfl or colleges, whichever image set you want to use for this league. Now, here's the sad caveat on careers. I didn't think about someone wanting to change the career league after they'd begun a career. After all, it's dynamic, the teams and players change, etc. So you can't edit it. So ... for now, if you want to have a career with real players, you have to start a new career AFTER getting the career set up. I'll see if I can fix it in an update to at least allow you to change images. Should be easy (he says). imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #16 imdakine1, Aug 31, 2018 Thanks! Any advice on how to DL image files from the google link? skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #17 skoptic, Aug 31, 2018 Thanks for this ProStrategyFootball Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2013 411 15 18 #18 ProStrategyFootball, Aug 31, 2018 I think you'll have to copy them to your iCloud or dropbox for now. I'm researching to see if I can simplify all this by letting you simply enter a url and me download a zip file and take care of it all. But working that out is going to take a while. I'll also make it possible for to partially edit an existing career league. You can't edit the players or team ratings, obviously, or even the player names, since the career is dynamic, but I could make it so you can at least point to different images. imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,228 22 38 #19 imdakine1, Aug 31, 2018 Thanks for the quick reply! Was destroyed in my second game vs Detroit! Was fun to play on my flight home rom vacation and being delayed two hours went by a bit quicker although our 19 month old wasn’t happy! I may try to redo the whole season with the league file, csv file, and images through my MacBook with a third party tool. I tried with iTunes and failed I couldn’t seem to move images into the psf2019 folder. So images go into image folder and create new folder called NFL. CDC goes into import/export folder. League file goes into league folder. These are the three keys for using the google drive links. ProStrategyFootball Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2013 411 15 18 #20 ProStrategyFootball, Aug 31, 2018 First off, thanks, and sorry about the loss! You don't need the csv file (import_export) unless you're editing (it is great for tweaking, though - edit the csv file, import it, save as league, test the league in a regular season, repeat). yep, images would go in your images/NFL folder, and you'd edit your league's "images folder" to say "NFL" Right now, I'm working on a "downloader" that may greatly simplify all this, so wish me luck! Because I do this part time, it may be a while, but I'm crossing my fingers! I hope you're enjoying the game, and thanks again! imdakine1 likes this. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
