UI is not so great, but the similarities make it good enough. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #3 Talbs, Aug 29, 2018 Bumping this up because I want to do the community justice. I do believe you’re actually all missing out if you haven’t seen this. It’s basically Slay the Spire in bad artwork and UI. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #4 vectorarchitekt, Aug 29, 2018 Would love if someone posted a video or more photos of gameplay psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,972 722 113 England #5 psj3809, Aug 29, 2018 Went to take a look at this but the app description is a bit weird (repeats a whole sentence) and the screenshots are poor. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #8 Talbs, Aug 29, 2018 You guys could do just a little bit of googling... I found this And the game that this game is let’s say, heavily influenced by, is rated 94% on steam which you could also have searched for. I’ve mentioned this already, it’s slay the spire. There’s a thousand videos of that on YouTube. StS is often compared to dream quest (iOS) to give you an idea. Look up reviews of that... Anyway, I’ve already mentioned this is mechanically StS which is kind of a big deal, it’s just that because it’s a copy they’ve used dodgy graphics and the HI is dodgy. But still I’m loving it because it’s freaking StS which I think I’ve already explained. There is no sound at all in the game and the iOS version is at v0.625i so I am assuming that this is, at best, at beta stage. Interesting game and shows promise as a card/turn based battle game. The various female avatar's clothing are somewhat on the UU side, if that sort of thing bothers you. It means exactly that. That character is a work in progress. If you want complete characters, and that are pretty close to the slay the spire characters then try the first 3 characters. Their images are complete. From there progress right along the character sheet, the characters are increasingly beta. And don’t get me started on the Warrior analogue with armored aerolae. I feel a little icky picking a character. There’s almost an Ed Wood quality to it where the delta between ambition and execution is what makes it interesting. Because thing is, this is a really decent clone of Slay the Spire otherwise. I mean, everything is pretty much in there as far as I can tell, and the dev is giving it away so he’s not profiting on someone else’s design (seriously, models changed but cards are verbatim from StS). It reminds me of that old Dominion clone that was around until someone tried (and screwed up) launching the real Dominion and had them take it down. Guess that’s my only hope—I like it because there’s no StS on iOS. But I hope if StS ever comes over, the dev does the decent thing and figures out some way to differentiate. I’m actually a test developer IRL so bugs are kind of my thing, and I love StS enough to want to see something like this come together. To be clear, I’m somewhat in awe of the game. I stand by everything I said above—rough is probably the most charitable description I could imagine. But it’s possibly the least polished game of any complexity I’ve seen *that all works*. Like, the game itself must have been meticulously debugged, but obvious cosmetic or ergonomic defects were simply ignored. I’m not even annoyed by it—just amazed. I don’t see any lack of skill here, just a sheer prioritization of function over presentation. You have to understand how often in my line of work you see the exact opposite. So if you like Dream quest and company. Be sure to check this one out. Im on discord with the one man army dev and he definitly puts time and effort to bring this game to the level it should be.
