I booted the game with my Nimbus connected, but I can’t get it to register. Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #3 Uprising Elton, Jun 17, 2018 It doesn’t support controllers in the Menus. Once in game in single player, the controller should be able to take over. And the Local Multi controller select screen should show if it’s acknowledged the controller. What type of controller is that? A basic or extended type? loveschack Member Jan 26, 2012 9 0 1 Copenhagen #4 loveschack, Jun 18, 2018 You’re absolutely right, it takes over when you start a match, and the screen you mentioned also acknowledges the controller. It’s a Steelseries Nimbus. When you have the time, it’d be awesome to be able to call up a screen with the controls for the pad, to see which buttons do what. The gameplay is great, so stoked for this title! Basically it's A is the same as Blue on screen, B is Red, and Y button works like the slide up on the red button, which shotcuts to max power for clearances and the" assisted cross" it does if you're in position for that.. It's also not removing the on screen controls at the start of the 2nd half unless you tap the screen once after resuming.. I'll fix that next update (after the one that's pending) There's an update in with Apple already that increases the rewards per match in Manager and fixes a couple of other small things.. Oh, and glad you're enjoying! I hate the moment after putting a game live and just hoping it goes down well.. so every decent comment makes me feel a lot better! lezrock and loveschack like this. Manager mode is simply FANTASTIC, Elton! need an answer: is there an option to choose and set corner, penalty and free kickers? Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #7 Uprising Elton, Jun 18, 2018 Last edited: Jun 18, 2018 Thanks. No, there's no Set Piece assignment at the moment, it just uses the nearest player or the fouled player. It's something I may add in future though. Oh, 1 Manager mode tip... the training score for each player is really important to their mood, and form. I do plan on lessening the impact a touch, as I think a lot of people will overlook it. But keep an eye on the news feed as it will occasionally give away an important part of how the overall score is calculated, and once you know that, tuning the other part is quite easy.. Looking forward to digging in once I’m somewhere that isn’t funding my app purchases. Congrats on the release. solarnya Well-Known Member Jul 22, 2015 907 287 63 Male Close to Tokyo, Japan #12 solarnya, Jun 18, 2018 I've been thinking about this game for a while since I saw it on upcoming forum. Good surprise for today's morning! Instabought and played few minutes, I was VIP!(2 bucks!? too reasonable!!) My nimbus controller is working perfectly! Since it isn't full MFi support, I need to touch screen after making goal. After all this is an amazing football game! Congratulation for releasing!! Jackaluk Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 401 94 28 #13 Jackaluk, Jun 18, 2018 Love the look and so much promise, but just a few things I’ve picked up on that don’t feel quite right to me. I’m using a nimbus controller btw Tackling seems really inconsistent. I’m still not sure which button tackles because I can’t seem to repeat the action. There does not seem to be a tackle button that always works Don’t appear to be able to switch players manually Is it just me or does it not seem just a tad to slow paced once you get the ball? I don’t know, it seems an ok pace, then you get the ball and head up the pitch and it just seems a little off the pace On that note can we get a sprint option? I hope this is constructive. To get that kick off 2 feeling back would be AWESOME and this is not to far away from that! Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #14 Uprising Elton, Jun 18, 2018 Manual player reselect is something I’ve tried before and doesn’t work in practice. The game is quite quick and by the time you’ve pressed a button (there’s also the problem of which button.. i don’t want to add a third!) then you’re likely to need to change again.. so basically the d-pad is your player reselect. If you just try and use the player you want, the game uses the directional context to work out if it should change player. I know it’a not 100% perfect and I’ve got a couple of improvements on the way, but I think its the best system to have. Tackling is all about timing. But Blue will help you intercept. Red needs to be a short tap to slide, but has a few checks to make sure that’s what you really want to do to limit some accidental slides when trying to kick a loose ball. Double tapping the dpad when dribbling does a kind of sprint. Dribbling is only a very small % slower than not, but player turning rate can be a lot slower depending on the players ability ratings. Thanks for the feedback. I’m continuing to tune things so it’s all very helpful! TactAuthority Active Member Jan 25, 2018 44 8 8 #15 TactAuthority, Jun 18, 2018 Last edited: Jun 18, 2018 Awesome. In a forthcoming update I'll put that move on a button for controller users. TactAuthority likes this. TactAuthority Active Member Jan 25, 2018 44 8 8 #17 TactAuthority, Jun 18, 2018 Great! Easily the best gameplay of any footy games on iOS Jackaluk Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 401 94 28 #18 Jackaluk, Jun 18, 2018 Hey Elton, Thanks for the quick response, I guess part of the very understandable issue is that I’m playing with a controller, I fully understand that your focus for optimisation needs to be on touch controls however! I’ll play some more, if it’s not Possible to easily (for you) have a few different options when playing with a controller then I understand. I find selection the most annoying when I do t not have the ball, also difficulty between medium and highest seems prey big, but of course the more you master it maybe the less of an issue. First couple of ga,es on medium I was scoring 2 or 3 goals easily, score lines were turned on there head on hard. But hey, you have to have a challenge right!! Nachtfischer Well-Known Member Feb 7, 2013 230 8 18 Game Designer Germany https://ludokultur.de/ #19 Nachtfischer, Jun 18, 2018 I like it in general. However, the game (or rather AI) doesn't seem to be terribly challenging. At least I had no trouble winning every single one of my first 3 matches 3:0 or even higher on "professional" difficulty. It might have been the fact that I played the World Cup group stage with France, but still. Should I dominate everything? As a completely new player? :/ Oh, and a bug: The game doesn't save a changed language setting for the next time you launch it. (Or at least not always? After I changed it 4 times and restarted, it kept the language...) Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #20 Uprising Elton, Jun 18, 2018 Thanks, I'll look into the language setting bug. On the difficulty, I wanted to err on the side of easier at the start as I launched. There's a few AI routines I'm still working on that weren't quite reliable enough to put in at launch, and they will make Pro mode much harder, as the AI will hit much better penetrating passes. It should come to the game in a week or so, I fugured most people would prefer to enjoy scoring goals at first, but I know a better challenge will be be welcomed by the better players. You can get more of a challenge by picking a worse team as it is. Be patient as when I get the final bits of the AI finalised, you'll be in for a real test! Nachtfischer likes this.
