PUBG places no real penalty for dying. You die, you just go back to the lobby and start a new match, nothing lost and nothing gained. Die in Barren Roads and everything on your character is lost... this is Hardcore Survival along the lines of DayZ. Players try to trick you and then kill you.. some just hunt you. The. There are some you can trust and make allies. You can start with a PVE world so you don’t have to worry about other players stealing your stuff or killing you.
