Earth Impact - Explosive Asteroid Puzzler Hi everyone, I wanted to share with you a quite unique and visually outstanding puzzle game that we've been working on for a while. The game was released last summer and got immediately popular in Australia (#1 Paid App). While a lot of people love the experience, we also received a fair amount of critical feedback that we have addressed with the recently published major 2.0 update. I hope the game is sparking your interest and I'd be more than happy to receive your feedback! Earth Impact Nicolas Schulz Can you bring an end to human history? It’s pretty bare bones. It looks nice but is it not simply a question of tapping the biggest light, then the next, then the next Maybe there’s more but I didn’t find it. It’s very pretty but there’s an awful lot of beautiful images of the Earth out there for free. 49p’s not a fortune but I question the true value of this. The most important critical feedback was that the game was too hard. I'm not sure how many levels you have played so far but after chapter 5 (we now got 10 in total) you can freely move around the planet and are in full control of where to place the strikes. Finding a working attack pattern gets quite tricky and challenging there. With the 2.0 update we added some more levels before that to improve the pacing and help develop a better intuition of where you can get the highest attack multipliers. Thank you! In the later levels you can freely zoom in/out and navigate to any location on the globe. The day/night cycle is animating and you can follow the sunsets from space if you like and even see how the sun reflects in the numerous rivers of South America. So the visuals really go a lot further than just static images. I don't have a gameplay trailer yet but I could offer you a free promo code in case you are still undecided. Can I suggest that it would benefit from having at least the suggestion on the early stages that later ones will not be static? Perhaps the view could be zoomed out on a different area of the world and then rotated and zoomed in to the play area before play begins? This way the player can see that there’s an actual engine rather than just images, hinting that there’s more to come. EIG likes this. You seem like a good, responsive dev. Infinite Zero Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2013 103 5 18 #7 Infinite Zero, Jun 14, 2018 I second MetaGonzo's idea. That little flourish would go a long way. I also think it would be nice to be able to re-play old levels and suggest making level 5 a bit easier (maybe requiring 1% less population reduction). Overall though, I like it. EIG likes this. I figured stage 5 would be a bit tricky but yeah the way it is now, people might well give up and miss the main part of the game. Definitely something to be addressed with the next update. sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #9 sugimulm, Jun 16, 2018 Is there a video of the gameplay? Does look very intriguing sugimulm Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2010 2,457 46 48 The last time zone for iOS game releases :( #12 sugimulm, Jun 23, 2018 This game is tough, but really nice to look at. Premise is simple, tap the earth to create asteroid impacts, but you have a limited amount and a certain quota you need to hit per level, pretty diabolical in a good way haha. Each asteroid gains impact size, so plan your taps wisely. Although not much to it, it does bring a sense of pleasure playing god somehow, lol. For th price, I recommend, it’s entertaining in an evil sort of way, but it does get challenging from level 5, as night turns to sunrise. To the dev, MetalGonzo rang a good point, I think you should look into that.
