On Saturday, I bought a 16 GB iPad. I am kind of regretting this and wishing i bought the 32 GB. Since I opened it already, I would have to pay $50 restocking fee and then the extra $100 dollars to get the 32 GB. Is it worth it?
If you're an app, music, or video enthusiasts (over 30 apps, over 1,500 songs, and/or over 6 movies), then yeah, probably. I'd actually say no, comparing it to my experience with the now discontinued 16 GB iPod, but the apps for the iPad are huge compared to the regular ones.
I'd say yes, but only because I'd want to stuff at least 25% of my music library onto it and at least a series worth of TV episodes, plus some movies. And of course I then need room for apps... But maybe instead of paying that restocking fee you could try and sell it on craigslist or ebay? Just set a reserve on it so you don't sell for less than $50 dollars under the price you paid
I strongly suggest the 32gb. With all the video, ebooks, and apps, you'll run out of space before you know it.
They're not upgradable, get the extra space - with the size of these apps, 16GB is gonna go by in a flash! (pun intended) Try to go 64 GB if you can.
Just be happy with your purchase, $50 just to return an item is a waste of money. If you really want to sell it, put it on craigslist and sell it for full price, than go get your 32gb.
I would suggest eBay and Craigslist. More towards eBay because you can put it up for auction and set a reserve price. These things will be hard to come by for a while. And like others have suggested go with the 64 Gb, most likely the 16 will be gone by the second generation. And potentially the 32 as well considering this is supposed to be a tablet computer. Not a big touch.
