There are certainly a lot of options out there, but finding a simple and enjoyable single-player pool game was harder than I expected. I found one that I enjoyed, but after playing it extensively I found it too easy to beat the computer every time. Suddenly the problem with pool hit me — when you play against a computer in a physics simulation, you're literally playing against a god... By which I mean, either the computer is going easy on you (for a reason), or it's playing a perfect game and taking all your money. It dawned on me that if I wanted a good single player pool game, I'd have to make a new kind of pool — a variant that doesn't need a computer opponent, that's built around the notion of scoring and improving, of taking risks, and of presenting unique and interesting challenges. Pocket-Run Pool is the game I came up with, I hope you enjoy it! -zach Information Seller:Zach Gage Genre:Puzzle, Sports Release:May 23, 2018 Updated:Sep 22, 2020 Version:2.0.9 Size:168.8 MB TouchArcade Rating: User Rating:Unrated Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal stfj Well-Known Member Sep 18, 2009 227 39 28 Male #2 stfj, May 23, 2018 Pocket-Run Pool is out! This is another fantastic effort! It very much feels like pool, while also being something totally new. Very responsive and nice use of the taptic engine. So it's like a puzzle you only get one shot at that runs every 30 minutes (as more people play the game I'll ramp up the number until hopefully it's running like every 30 seconds.. the goal is to only have ~10 people in each insta) High Stakes Pool is the single player game incl. breaking but with weird/fun conditions and unlocks and multi-condition stacking Break of the Week is like a Insta-Tournament that only changes once a week, but you can play it over and over again. It sounds very similar to Insta- But in play it's actually quite different because since you can try it over and over again you can plan out the perfect route and then try to execute it flawlessly. It keeps track of your weekly streaks of over 650 and 750 points jsrco Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Oct 15, 2009 2,134 1 38 Coordinator Seattle https://www.Fatthunder.com #12 jsrco, May 23, 2018 Everyone of his recent games make my battery die. dukat111 Well-Known Member Mar 23, 2010 514 94 28 #13 dukat111, May 23, 2018 Great, thanks for the explanation. It's Unity running at 60fps :\ In this one you can set it to 30fps in options, and if you've purchased the game you can turn off auto video-ad caching, which should also save your battery. That said, I do play all of my own games in testing really aggressively and never see these battery issues being more significant than any other games that I play for the same amount of time. Do you feel on comparison it is significant? stfj Well-Known Member Sep 18, 2009 227 39 28 Male #15 stfj, May 23, 2018 thanks for the support dukat !!
