Gambler Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2014 546 110 43 Gazorpazorp #3 Gambler, Jun 2, 2018 Alas with you on this one. Makes me think twice if I should pull the trigger. Alas most Point‘n‘Click Adventures don‘t sell very well and thus we often never see more than a first or second episode. Just look at the meager activity in this thread ... Gambler Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2014 546 110 43 Gazorpazorp #4 Gambler, Jun 2, 2018 But so starved for a good PnC, I guess I‘ll have no other option than to buy and hope for the best anyway At least on PC there‘s already a second episode despite not a lot of attention (the game only has 98 Steam reviews) - Hope the dev can keep it up and also keep releasing for iOS. Gwarmaxx Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2010 4,446 376 83 NCC 1701 #5 Gwarmaxx, Jun 2, 2018 good choice, it's really really good, you'll not regret. btw, dev told me that next episode will be out in August, fingers crossed. Intriguing story, very funny main characters, UI and mechanics perfectly implemented for touchscreens, very well thought out puzzles, not too easy but also not absurdly hard or illogical, hint system if you should get stuck nonetheless and after having played through the tutorial (or Episode 0) which is nearly half as long as a full episode of other episodic adventure games itself and the beginning of Episode 1 it certainly looks as if one gets very good gamelength value for only $2.99. This would deserve so much more attention, one of the best point’n’click adventures I’ve played in a while! Thanks for creating this thread and bringing Odysseus Kosmos to a wider attention, Gwarmaxx. Gwarmaxx likes this. I started gaming with the early 90s Lucas Arts adventures so PnCs will always have a very special place in my heart. I often feel the same about the changing taste - I’m not interested in Multiplayer Games or those new PUBG shooters that are all the current rage. Or Minecraft or Pokemon Go for that matter (people still playing the latter anyway?). So I guess I’m probably in a similar age focus group as you I agree, I still can’t fathom myself that games like this one go so terribly unnoticed - Looking at certain Kickstarter games there is still some interest in PnCs after all - Take Thimbleweed Park for example. But it looks like the market just isn’t very big anymore which is a shame (still biggest in Germany but that’s about it). It’s much harder to find new good PnCs for iOS (or PC for that matter) than it has been a few years ago so looks like there has to be less interest. Probably also the sad reason why great titles like this go so largely unnoticed ... But I’m glad some devs like the one of Odysseus Kosmos are still trying and there are at least still some people like me who love playing these titles - Even if we’re apparently getting old Gwarmaxx likes this. I never played that til now. Until a few months ago the only Sierra titles I’ve played were one or two Leisure Suit Larrys which were never my cup of tea - Guess that’s why I’d never tried other Sierra titles in my youth. But just a few months ago I played the 5th and 6th part of King’s Quest and especially part 6 is a masterpiece- Can’t believe I missed out on them for so long and enough for me to finally want to give Space Quest a shot too - Which Space Quest part would you recommend starting with? And are they all Point and Click or are some of them text adventures like King’s Quest? Gwarmaxx likes this.
