Welcome to the forum. My main reason for downloading this was the opportunity to fight against the terrors of Feng Shui. Its a fine looking card battler/upgrader which is problably the best use of match-3. There seems to be an issue with setting up a T formation. After equipping 3 characters to the front row I am unable to place the fourth charcter in the second row. Aside from that its going well. Wabi-Sabi rules! ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #4 ramzarules, Apr 22, 2018 as a dedicated match-3-rpg fan i gave it a quick try. first impression is that its like a Hearthstone and Shadow Wars baby with a match 3 UI. quick suggestions: 1) optimise it. There is no reason that it should get my 6s+ as hot as it does. 2) if possible make the 5 elements a triangle like 99% of the other match3s, namely red-green-blue and black-white strong against each other 3) make the special skills more “special”, flashy, powerful 4) some less monotonous battle music would not hurt 5) add more characters The match3 battling looks ok so far with the exception of skills -see above- and its too early to talk about f2p done right or not yet. if you arent put off by f2p internet give it a fast try yourselves, download is 115 megabytes. Thanks for making this effort devs. Yeah, match3rpgs are a dime a dozen, but 8 games out of 10 are either too greedy, too awful to even look at, or the battles are not fun. I think yours has the background to go the distance and hopefully will not fall into any of those three traps. Also, improve it as fast as possible to not miss the launch window! I'd rather pay even up to 5$ to permanently gain unlimited stamina aces (if it was an option) to at least make game semi-preium when it's not, instead of give 0,99$ any now and then for five stamina (which I'd hardly ever do). Would be much less painful if at least stamina isn't required for replaying once won duels to get 3 stars. Happy Panda Studio Member Nov 7, 2017 21 1 3 Sydney #15 Happy Panda Studio, Apr 23, 2018 Suggestion noted hmm ... regarding the stamina we'll discuss it within the team. It seems the current stamina amount is not nearly enough for your play sessions everyday? Yes it's hard to get 3 stars at the end of forest ruin for the first run, but might not be so hard to just pass it. Our intention is when you get further into the level to a point it seems too hard, you already grow to a certain extend that can beat earlier levels with 3 stars easily, then level up the character to be even stronger, then come back, the impossible seems like a legit challenge again. Mistrija Active Member Jan 31, 2014 35 0 6 #16 Mistrija, Apr 23, 2018 Last edited: Apr 23, 2018 Exactly. If i try to get more stars on previous levels or loose 3-4 times in a row on the current one - that's it. Haven't precisely measured but I don't feel that's more that half an hour of playing time in single take. For me that's short. And waiting is 20min or so? Just can't fit to schedule like that. Or if at least that one "life to play" is not wasted if i won the duel (even with only 3 stars if not anyhow). If i loose, seems legit to have it wasted. That's always bugged me in freemiums (can't swore it stands for all)...loosing life no matter how you played. Life being only a "ticket" to play either you win or loose. There aren't that many games i like that much to will be willing to "sacrifice" more than few hours daily to play them..and it saddens me when I can't because having to wait life refills. Because most often I got time to play; is just only when i got no stamina. And vice versa-stamina is refilled but i must do something else at the moment. To sums it up; haven't been able to play it just when i want/can, is somewhat irritating. Logical presumption af possibility to just lay it for refills while i "do something else" just doesn't work for me. That's why I don't play (and surely don't pay for) any "Candy Sagas etc" freemiums. But they aren't appealing as this one anyway so that's why i "rant about" Happy Panda Studio Member Nov 7, 2017 21 1 3 Sydney #17 Happy Panda Studio, Apr 23, 2018 Last edited: Apr 23, 2018 Actually, if you pay $0.99 you get 10 diamonds by which you can exchange for 2 fully stamina refills, that is 20 stamina. Also if you finish all levels in the Forest Ruin area, a new game mode "Daily Rift" will be available where you can get even more rare resources. It has a ton of potential! I understand why the energy system is utilized but I do find it a bit more aggressive than it should be. I’m sure that you devs will find the “sweet spot” for the energy system over time. Don’t let me down! I will admit that I am not a fan of having to grind for duplicates of characters in order to upgrade them, especially when RNG is such an integral factor in this process. This especially becomes a large problem for leveling up characters of a higher rarity. Clash Royale was the original creator of this system and I’m sure that it works. However, I find it to be less effective in this game. I would suggest a “materials” system where certain levels have specific material drops for you to acquire. Obviously, each character would require different combinations of materials to level them up, etc. Just a suggestion! If it’s too late in development to implement this, then have certain copies of characters be bound to specific levels or have more opportunities to get them without RNG being involved. (Check out Marvel Strike Force or Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes for greate examples of the aforementioned materials system) All in all, I’m extremely excited to see the future progress of this game. I’m definitely going to be streaming it for my followers and seeing what they think about it! I’ll report back with their thoughts as well! MintCity Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2016 200 1 18 #20 MintCity, Apr 25, 2018 Im back with some more feedback after having a few days with the game: 1. I loved the 1.99 pack for the Tank character. Great value. Keep shooting players deals like that and I will always support the game by purchasing them! 2. I appreciate your fair pricing for everything in the shop. There is a lot of bang for your buck! I find it very admirable that you keep the higher priced IAPs locked until a player plays a good amount of the game. Prevents regretful spending from impulse buyers. Great work. 3. I always have a bitter-sweet feeling after finishing a tough level and then having to be met with an ad to increase my rewards. I think you should offer some sort of IAP that removes the requirement of watching ads to double your card rewards after a level. I would gladly pay 3-5 dollars per month to avoid watching ads and still double my card rewards. 4. I think you should include an in-game shop (that refreshes daily) that provides 3 different character cards that you can buy with gold. This will limit a little bit of the RNG involved with acquiring copies of cards that you actually want. Still having a blast with the game! Hopefully this list helps in some way!
