I've rarely if ever seen something like this on the app store that isn't an online game I'm not sure how good it will be but screw it, I'm buying it. The art and gameplay look fantastic. Btw I see a free version, I wonder what the difference is. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,964 717 113 England #4 psj3809, Mar 16, 2018 Urrrgh. Not for me. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #10 L.Lawliet, Mar 17, 2018 Last edited: Mar 17, 2018 Hmm timer? I'm not sure where, maybe not far into it but I was supposed to nap then ended up getting addicted and playing it for an hour. It was pretty fun. The battles don't need timers so I'm not sure where you would be referring to. If the timer is for mana then that I used for opening randomly found chests which I see once every few areas. I have about 32 mana and chests take 1-3 mana to open. So not remotely an issue right now. It's not super deep but it plays very similar to one of those gacha mobile games. It does have a gold and premium currency gacha inside the game and you can earn some premium money for achievements and grind for gold. The gameplay is fairly simple but there's surprisingly a lot of strategy and things to do. Exploration is one of my favorites. A dungeon is represented in tiles where you use arrows to tell your party where to go. You can also hit the search button to find items or hit misfortunes. For battle phase, you place your team into formation and they auto attack based on where they are set. Then you use your monsters (what you get from the gacha) which appear randomly as cards below your character. The monsters have different skills and they all show a usage row of where they attack or heal (usually single, vertical, horizontal). Adds some strategy. It comes down to using the right monsters and heal quickly before you're defeated since they're real time battles. Then you can get armor, gems, weapons, etc. You can upgrade those, the party, and put in skill points for characters. Pretty good amount of customization. The art is fantastic which I love the most. It uses that moving 2d sprite feature, I forget the name, but you can see it in the preview video. Live2d maybe? The sound effects are really to my liking as well. I'm really enjoying it and this might be go to game for "play when I get free time". The only downside is the translation is lacking but not completely terrible. The main issue is trying to understand the monster skills with weirdly written English. Gwarmaxx Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2010 4,446 376 83 NCC 1701 #11 Gwarmaxx, Mar 17, 2018 i don't remeber in which case it activates, but i'm pretty sure there was a timer on the left of mana bar. deresi Well-Known Member Feb 23, 2018 434 72 28 #12 deresi, Mar 17, 2018 I happened to find this game while I was surfing interesting games. You can play this game without IAP, but it can be a little hard. The energy refill system was often seen in some games. Developers seem to think of it as a tool to make their games longer enjoyable. Anyway, I'm enjoying this game quite a bit. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #13 L.Lawliet, Mar 17, 2018 So in the free version does each battle node require stamina? The only energy in the premium version seems to be the MP for chest opening which isn't a big deal. deresi Well-Known Member Feb 23, 2018 434 72 28 #14 deresi, Mar 17, 2018 As far as I know they are the same in relation to it. deresi Well-Known Member Feb 23, 2018 434 72 28 #15 deresi, Mar 17, 2018 Last edited: Mar 17, 2018 Since the rewards are great in the premium version, I think it's relatively easy to get to the end of the story. The developer said users could see the ending without IAP, but the reviews show that gamers spent a lot of time in the repetitive quests for it. But I don't really care about this bad point because the illustrations in this game are so pretty. Does it just get rid of some of the timers? Also what is the gameplay like? I really like anime-style artwork in a game but I wont buy a game just because it has pretty artwork. (admitteldly very nice artwork at that) I like gameplay that requires some strategy or action or something.... Im not into cow clicker type games. This game is more strategic than I thought. Combo and matching tactics are required.
