Correction because its iOS/Android & they can get away with it because the Appstore lets in that kind of stuff & doesn't have the care that Nintendo Eshop has. MMO, Social Networking App, Virtual World.. They can have WiFi Locks makes sense I wouldn't bash Runescape if it came to iOS why becuase its a legit MMO.. This a like a Knock off game of Adventure Bar Story & if that had proper iPad support I would be back playing it but instead I look for similar games this looked fun and similar if bar story doesn't need WiFi WHY DOES THIS ?? why they wanna protect there game -_- Don't try to give me that lecture you can protect your games from hackers without making it online locked.. I am Trying to Fight for Decent Offline games while its seeming pointless, I will continue to keep fighting! Hey I understand no body wants a Mobile ecosystem like Nintendo Switch, One that can be brought Anywhere's with no WiFi need, one that has Many decent Premium games, also many ports that other mobiles don't get, but while pricey you get quality & care. They want Free games ones that are quick to play, With most having with energy based timers & WiFi locks and these games eventually get boring & become a waste of space & get deleted or put in a folder for a day your bored & want to go in and click a few mins.. I have a iPad I want to utilize it, I see this Monster Chef game, a decent looking freemium game, then find out it needs WiFi it ticked me off! She had a legitimate complaint about always online games, and what are the next five posts after you guys chastise her? A bunch of people including myself who can't even get into the game because it's online only. And when I did finally get in, guess what? It's a game that's by design an offline experience, that's purely online only because you have to do Clash Royale's four chest slots with timed unlocks for rng loot. Hooray. It's something that in this case the online only bit them in the butt right at launch. People still can't get in. And this game could absolutely have been done as an offline product. You can feel free to explain all of the profit maximizing elements and ip protection attached to live services that you want, and we can throw a million examples at you that didn't require it at all and were still successful. As far as moving the needle, consistent public backlash and complaints actually do work, and have many times in the past. It's why the developers of Clicker Heroes are making the sequel a one price buy, because they actually felt guilt from the very successful and brutal monetization of the first game and manipulation of the playerbase. Not every company is Supercell. I can assure you bending over and telling people to stop complaining and to all just take it isn't going to move any needles either. If Jade wants to be a consistent reminder to developers here that we don't want this, I think she has every right without the editor in chief mocking her and taking digs. This forum is dying and its mods are actively pushing people away. You want a boring forum? Keep checking here when all dissenting opinions are no longer allowed and every thread has two posts saying "cool!" in it. Oh, and this game has the greatest art any mobile game has put out thus far in 2018. The gameplay itself is the sort of convoluted incremental/resource pyramid game I'm typically not fond of however. I think AdVenture Communist streamlines this kind of concept the most, and is one of the rare incrementals that actually require you to do some math or make a spreadsheet to make headway in. So I'll stick with that bad boy. Personally not a fan of chests with timers and limited chest slots, but hey, I'm not trying to move any needles by saying this, I'm just saying that monetization loop sucks hard. Amazing artwork though, and I wouldn't mind finding this guy or gal on social media and seeing what else they've worked on. cyllwynn Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2011 65 2 8 #15 cyllwynn, Mar 16, 2018 Is this actually in a post or article from the company somewhere? Years ago when a new game came out, the thread would be filled with first impressions and other people talking about playing the actual game.
