Picked Thumper up on Switch AFTER pre-ordering on iOS and I must say, I'm still absolutely floored by it. It seriously is the first rhythm game I've ever played that tries to do something different with the genre, and it does it in spades. It's dark, menacing and can be unforgivably fast at times. I went from "Oh hey, this looks cool...but I have no idea what it's supposed to be" to "OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING!!11!!" in mere seconds. So...it's great on Switch, right? How is it on iOS? Well, my pre-order kicked in a couple of hours ago and I've only played a few minutes to be completely honest, but absolutely nothing's been lost in translation. Nothing at all. Sheer perfection at literally a quarter of the price, a fraction of the download size and with incredible portrait mode support. Nothing else to say. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,045 623 113 #3 anthony78, Jan 24, 2018 Have it on PS4 and love it. I am LOVING this game! A few weeks ago for the hell of it I preordered the game on the Appstore. I woke up to the game installed on my iPhone 6s+. The game is beautiful and the controls are spot on. Whenever I have died Ive never felt that it was the games fault. There is absolutely no lag. I absolutely love the combat and the maneuvers. I love the sense of speed and the intensity of the game. I really cannot say anything bad about this game. This game gets Billys seal of approval! How do I rate the game on this site? I am no longer using the app since Im on iOS 11.2. Im viewing the website via safari on my iPhone. I dont see how I can rate the app on here. Like, I expected it to differ in ways but this is the full, real game running at 60fps and honestly the touch controls feel better than console or in VR. Pick this up! We need more devs to port stuff over (and hopefully get more Apple TV 4k support) #Bonk3rZ Well-Known Member Mar 20, 2014 335 36 28 top of the world #13 #Bonk3rZ, Jan 24, 2018 Ios 11 ... *weeping bitterly* Prophecy07 Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2009 45 0 6 #14 Prophecy07, Jan 25, 2018 I love the Steam and Switch versions of this game so much. Although this is a great port I do have some issues: - Framerate-drops on my iPad Air 2 (fine on iPhone SE) - I accidently hit the pause button on the lower right all the time - From level 4 onwards you have to switch lanes from time to time - and this can be done by tilting only (no alternate touch gesture) I've already contacted the developers and they will address these issues. sebgo Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2010 578 192 43 Male 95% leisure. When I manually go into the App Store to see the app's listing, where it should say "Get" or "Buy" or whatever all I see is "View" (as is normal for pre-ordered apps not yet released) and nothing happens when I click it. So frustrating. Lightning edit: Just as I was about to post this, I finally went into my iCloud details through the App Store, looked under purchased and clicked the little cloud/arrow download icon and it's finally downloading for real! What a ride.
