My first observation was that it did not fill the screen on my ipad-black bars on either side. But the game play was not hard to pick up and I caught on to it pretty quickly. I will play more this weekend. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #4 Talbs, Jan 5, 2018 Played through the tutorial and then one game vs AI after that. And...um....it seems like another battler. The difference here is that you play your cards at the same time and you have 3 lanes but 2 positions in those lanes. Those positions also have resolution orders so it does matter where you place cards particularly when trying to get a direct hit on the opponent. But really, it's another battler CCG. I really like pathfinder adventure card game and still play that. Why? Because it's unique and has such tight and thought provoking gameplay. This one just seems like another twisted hearthstone for the sake of it. I do hope others find a way to get invested and have a grea time, but for me, I've had enough. I've seen this before. By that I mean what probably happened (with Cuphead at least) is that a porting company was given the source code and then published it themselves? Because the seller on the App Store is G-Mei and not 37 Games. And also it looks more or less like a finished app but the weird “engrish” and the black borders make me feel that this is not quite ready for prime time. Edit: I realize that this is not a port. Just wondering if the source code may have been handed off and used inappropriately thereafter. applecat500 Active Member Aug 17, 2017 26 0 0 #6 applecat500, Jan 5, 2018 the gameplay speed is painfully slow, every single action takes forever, as if time was slowed down. unplayable unless you're a sloth in real life :/ iJailBreaker Active Member Jan 13, 2017 39 4 8 #7 iJailBreaker, Jan 5, 2018 I wasn't really pulled by it, I was hoping for something new to play in the Card Game scene. I found that when placing cards the game doesn't seem to really pick up very well where you finger is because there were a few occasions where it would put it on the lower lane when I was aiming on top row. I won't be returning to it but not saying is garbage, just not for me. The simultaneous turns is clever but beyond that it feels sooo generic. One main negative is gameplay is too long, still i created a guild called empire if any prefer to play please join with me, but there is no chat system or recruiting system in the game. remorhaz Member Oct 9, 2013 20 0 0 #14 remorhaz, Jan 10, 2018 If you can get far enough in to unlock the story chapters you can get access to some really good cards and the depth of the game starts to show however you have to throw yourself into pvp. As I've climbed ranks I've noticed there are definitely a few classes that seem to stand out. The investigator has some crazy synergy between its class specific summons that can easily take over the board unless you have access to mass removal. The cleric gets a wrath of god like card but the other classes are stuck with single target or random ranges of damage that may or may not do the trick. If you are just starting out I'd stick with the magus for pvp. At a certain point you unlock a 2/1 demon that pings you and adds a random demon to your hand at the end of the turn. This is the first pure card advantage engine you'll come across and if you can keep it alive a few turns you can get way ahead. I started a guild called Red Mantis (if you are paizo/pathfinder fan you'll know who they are) and am looking for members! gaberaph Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 70 14 8 #15 gaberaph, Jan 14, 2018 Just painfully discovered this myself as well, like you cant even get past the first minute of the tutorial as the buttons are completely obscured :/ its not optimised for the X at all (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
