Insta-bought, I did play an hour or two on PC and found it enjoyable, and I also loved Game Dev Story, I think this type of game is the perfect type for mobile. L0ck Well-Known Member Jan 29, 2015 212 2 0 #3 L0ck, Nov 28, 2017 How is it different from Game Dev Story though? I loved GDS and would lose hours to more of that. But where does it sit on the scale from homage to ripoff? Milotorou Well-Known Member Mar 19, 2015 556 46 28 #4 Milotorou, Nov 28, 2017 It has quite a few different mechanics, it doesnt just feel like a ripoff. Id say it feels more in the line of "spiritual sucession" than an homage or a ripoff. Its certainly a ripoff of game dev story but they built upon it. Worth the price. KineticBlur Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2014 238 0 16 #15 KineticBlur, Nov 30, 2017 Was excited to see a patch. But still hasn’t fixed the crashing issue... can’t get into the game. nuutsch Well-Known Member Jul 18, 2012 116 0 0 #16 nuutsch, Nov 30, 2017 Landscape only or also portrait? daan_vb Member May 1, 2013 23 1 1 #17 daan_vb, Nov 30, 2017 This game is sweet. Played it for about 4 hours on commute to and from work and a couple of times I almost missed my stop! That anticipation as those first reviews come in.... Blankito Active Member May 29, 2015 41 6 8 #18 Blankito, Nov 30, 2017 This has been quite an expensive week so far! According to the comments this must be worth it. Come on guys, worth a buy? orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #19 orangecan, Nov 30, 2017 I quite like it. It's not blowing me away though. It feels very similar to Dev Story but without a lot of the charm. I'm struggling at times to know what areas to put my efforts into - I.e. Gameplay, graphics, storyline etc, and how that affects the final scoring of the game. I also don't think the upgrade/training process is as clear as in Dev Story. I've put about 3 hours into it, I certainly don't think I've wasted my money and there are obviously people enjoying it more than me but I'm just mildly disappointed by it considering the glowing review. BlueTrin Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2012 376 51 28 #20 BlueTrin, Nov 30, 2017 I felt the same when I bought it on PC. It is missing the story part from Game Dev Story. There are good things in the end game though. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
