Seems promising. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #4 squarezero, Nov 16, 2017 Alright, got through the first level. This is pretty awesome so far. First, the controls are brilliant. Rather than force you to hit the dpad in order to direct your special attacks, you can actually swipe the button — almost like a brawler version of a twin stick shooter. Never seen that before, and it works like gangbusters. The combat itself is really fun, with ton of combos, enemy juggling, and power/special attacks. You can double tap on a direction to evade, do counters, etc. At the end of the first level I got the choice of a new attack or a brand new character, which you can switch to on the fly. I assume that you’ll be able to manage characters as you collect them. Oh, and the pixel art is kind of great, too. Love the reflections on the floor. The environment are detailed, and even on the first level there were 4 or 5 different locations. As I said, this is all based on only one level, but so far this is one of the better brawlers I’ve played on iOS. jpgold Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2012 1,818 56 48 Online Ad Sales - Pandora New York, NY #5 jpgold, Nov 17, 2017 Previous impressions were spot on. Heck even the rain drops are pixelated. Extra character play different. This game is freaking awesome. I like this trend of indie PC brawlers getting mobile ports, can we get something like Fight'N Rage next? Considering the Steam price is $10, I'd say it's a steal at $2. Bought it and enjoying it. Obviously the touch screen controls take up part of the playable screen area but as far as iOS ports go, this one's solid. Runs smooth and looks great. Yeah, you can choose to either unlock a new special move or new character. Characters can be selected by going to to status->characters on the main menu. Character have their own health bar and can have some pretty varied moves, so I prefer them over new EX moves. ironsam80 Well-Known Member Dec 14, 2010 1,151 34 48 #8 ironsam80, Nov 17, 2017 The game is FANTASTIC!!!! Thanks! jpgold Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2012 1,818 56 48 Online Ad Sales - Pandora New York, NY #14 jpgold, Nov 17, 2017 I've be choosing the new character option after beating a level. I feel like other than their "special move" all they can do it a regular punch and kick. The character you start with has the ability to also kick enemies into the air and then continuing kicking which deals more damage. So my question is....can the additional characters that you unlock do anything other than a normal punch/kick on the ground (besides their special move). This game is so fantastic on so many levels. dbgraphic Member Aug 24, 2016 10 0 1 Multimedia Developer Earth #15 dbgraphic, Nov 17, 2017 Awesome Game Works perfect with my Gamevice Mfi Controller... Controls are spot-on.....something that just doesn't usually translate well to touch and it is flawless here. The reflections as prev mentioned are fantastic....I haven't seen this done with bitty graphics and it gives the game a HD touch (especially with the rain as also prev mentioned) that is just awesome. Has anyone noticed little tidbits throughout the 1st few levels? I noticed in the hospital there's a dead guy on a bed with a bunch of tubes that were cut all covered in a green ooze. Then there's a billboard with a five armed (handed) shadow figure with a green background the same color as the ooze. A little later there are a bunch of posters in the background that all show the same head as ur main guy.....dun dun duuuuun!
