No the game is totally free, no ads, no iaps. We both have a main job, and this game wouldn't make a big difference for us if it was monetized. So we decided to make it free. If the game was getting popular (which will probably not happen but you never know), we would update it with more content and a way to monetize it. FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #7 FiloMJ, Nov 9, 2017 Downloading, thanks. If you want to monetize, no ads please. FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #8 FiloMJ, Nov 9, 2017 Looks like a really well made variant on the genre Enker Well-Known Member May 15, 2014 85 0 6 #9 Enker, Nov 9, 2017 Lots of fun! I'd love to see a campaign mode to flesh out the experience with a tiny story to follow, but what's here is a great game. DaveMApplegate Well-Known Member Oct 28, 2016 104 5 18 Orange County, California #10 DaveMApplegate, Nov 9, 2017 What way do you prefer to monetize games then? I agree obtrusive or forced ads are a turn off. Do you like optional ads in game? FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #11 FiloMJ, Nov 9, 2017 Exactly, that is the best way to monetize a game. Or additional campaigns unlockable via IAP... but not too much expensive FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #12 FiloMJ, Nov 9, 2017 Optional ads are for sure the first way that won't ruin your game FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #13 FiloMJ, Nov 9, 2017 Great game by the way, you deserve your success. Eventually you can also convert your actual free version with a premium one. But you should add content imho to bring out a premium experience... HelperMonkey Well-Known Member Dec 16, 2009 632 8 18 Iowa #14 HelperMonkey, Nov 9, 2017 This is simple, but itÂ’s really well made. Lots of nice touches. Very clean. Good job. jptsetung Well-Known Member May 27, 2009 156 0 0 #15 jptsetung, Nov 9, 2017 Thx all for the nice words. @FiloMJ not yet a planetary success , but publishing a clean game is kind of a success already, yep, thx. We would probably add unlockable content if we want to monetize the game. What is challenging is that enemies pick up gear as well, so each swipe requires careful consideration otherwise it's easy to cause the enemy to pick up the stacks you've been meticulously crafting. Don't think the dragon does that in Dungeon Tiles. Oscar Streaker Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2011 182 2 18 #18 Oscar Streaker, Nov 10, 2017 Ah... Thanks for the info! DaveMApplegate Well-Known Member Oct 28, 2016 104 5 18 Orange County, California #20 DaveMApplegate, Nov 10, 2017 I honestly get kind of pissed even w/ unlockable campaigns for games unless it's very finite. E.x. Unlock the rest of the game for 3.99. I feel like most of the campaign unlocking I've done has been pay 1.99, then pay another 1.99, then another 1.99. I find this frustrating.
