Some 'enemies' seem to reduce the timer no matter what you do, and your remaining time carries between stages. After a 'game over', you return to level 1 at the beginning of the story. A 'tips' guide and a stage select option might help. I haven't figured out how to defeat any boss, yet--they all keep escaping. slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 8 38 #7 slamraman, Nov 1, 2017 absolutely no idea what is going on! ***** would buy again. andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #8 andsoitgoes, Nov 1, 2017 I wasnt the biggest fan of dandy dungeon, mostly from a gameplay perspective. Starts off like whack-a-mole then you kinda organically figure it out. Kinda like (not in style though) how you figure out a Michael Brough game - never explained you just figure out with repeat plays. The story so far - i got to the second boss - reminds me of gravity's rainbow. I got as far as the second boss and had to close it, and when I restarted I was back at level one. I was/am loving every minute of it but I'm not a high score chaser and I'm unfortunately not seeing myself enjoying it much if that's the case.... bigghurt Well-Known Member Apr 18, 2012 203 1 18 #12 bigghurt, Nov 1, 2017 Yes you start over when you run out of time. This game is less about high scores and more about filling out combo patterns. There are story bits and things to unlock, but the main goal is just to last as long as you can and get the highest score possible. esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #14 esty8nine, Nov 2, 2017 Good strategies to it or more mindless matching jsrco Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Oct 15, 2009 2,134 1 38 Coordinator Seattle https://www.Fatthunder.com #15 jsrco, Nov 2, 2017 I mean technically you want to go for at least doubles so you get bonus mode and a chance for more onion knights. So you can fight the boss before your battery or time runs out. But seeing as how the onion growth pattern is random. Mindless tap away. AltsKev Well-Known Member Nov 12, 2016 566 157 43 Male Developer #16 AltsKev, Nov 2, 2017 Strange i lost on the 3th boss. This game is not really for strategic player... i can resume it as tap fast as you can on your screen. with some luck you ll match row + col and maybe row + col + row for a tripple bonus. i am not very fan of tap tap tap game. After every boss you ll get a cutscene who ll explain what happen in the hotel. This is the story. So if you like tap your screen everywhere this game is for you Rosso Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2010 236 12 18 #17 Rosso, Nov 2, 2017 Bought it. Got bored after an hour or so.
