Given a head-start over the billions lost in a nuclear holocaust, you must gather as many supplies as possible en route to the concrete underground shelter that will soon become your family home for the foreseeable dire future. As the overwhelming despair of this new world surrounds you, how will you survive? Your approach to the countless moral choices you’ll be faced with on a daily basis, could be the difference between the lives of your family or their unfortunate end. Resources are scarce though, with barely enough to cling desperately to life for another day you’re already faced with a monumental choice. Who will you send to venture out into the vast unforgiving wasteland? Whilst exploration is a traumatic experience, the weapons you can craft from resources could tip the scales of life or death in your favour. Assaults from feral beasts and roaming factions are endlessly closing in, imminent and deadly risks surround you. ‘Violence is never the answer’… Maybe you once believed that, but combat may now be your only option for survival. As you and your family grow and progress, so do their skills, attributes and weaknesses. Ensure that they’re well equipped as you strategize, securing victory against those who threaten the survival of your family in tense turn based combat. Regarding the game, it feels ok on the iPhone, but I definitely prefer to play it on a bigger screen. It doesn't feel too cluttered, just slightly. To the developer, maybe another zoom level can be added? Hiraether Well-Known Member Nov 28, 2012 62 0 6 #11 Hiraether, Oct 25, 2017 Because Apple hates gamers. Still it's great to see yet another port but I'll be waiting for imps from whoever would be so kind to review once they get in deep. Maybe there's been tweaks to the iOS version to address some reviews on steam. Seems to be an endless surviving game, where there's no final challenge or goal. You just keep going until your characters die. Rogue-like survival games need an end goal, or else there's no real point to playing. Edit: I think I was not clear with my statement. What I meant to say is there needs to be goals in survival games. Most popular survival games got some sort of endgame, like Don't Starve - ability to move to new world with your current equipment via the portal. Or FTL - which is eventually getting that winning run or unlocking more ships. Or This War of Mine - surviving until the war is over. But this game just seems to be survive... and keep surviving... then nothing? There's no end, and no meaningful progression. Not even unlocks to make subsequent replays any different other than the RNG. The sense of accomplishment when winning is great. I actually jumped up beating FTL for the first time on normal. FTL would fall flat without an ending. popogamingchannel Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2017 45 0 0 Gamer Asia https://www.youtube.com/user/PopoGamingChannel #17 popogamingchannel, Oct 26, 2017 Sheltered (By Team17 Software Ltd) - IOS/Android Gameplay In case you're wondering about the gameplay of this one.
