You need an insane amount of money to buy upgrades. After you finish one stage you get around $20-$50 and or a single diamond. You need approximately $400k to upgrade all characters "talents". You can exchange 50 diamonds for $2500. Then you have the special characters. To get the Superboy you have to buy with real money (5 USD). Another must-buy is Coin Doubler (2 USD) and you will still grind. Then you'll find other characters like the Magician and the Vampire. You might be able to get them for free but you'll need so many BlackPearl coins that it's better to just buy with real money so you don't have to grind for weeks or months. The best way to "farm" is by watching ads (most common are 30sec, some goes to 45sec). Start a stage and exit just after; an ad icon will appear so you click and wait the 30sec and you might get a single diamond OR up to $160 OR an upgrade item (don't expect to get anything better than 3-stars). If you watch a bunch of ads continuously, you might be able to upgrade some characters marginally. Every 24 hours you can open a Superb Case. You get 6 items and one might be a 5-star weapon. That's the only way to get a decent one. The game starts fun but then you realize the only way to advance is paying real money. And even if you spend 100 USD, I'm not sure the game will be playable. You better keep the game and open it every 24 hours to get 5-star items (Superb Case). After a few weeks you might have some upgrades enough to pass some levels. Then you have to spend half and hour playing ads to farm items (you can sell for $20 up to $90, most often $30). Now about gameplay "strategy" I use: -Boxer with IronWolf suit (self-healing). Weapon = Self-healing Cyclone knuckles. Boxer is a tank character. Use Taunt to attract enemies so you just have to worry about protecting him. -Gunner. I like the Critical Mafia Shotgun. Does plenty of damage and the special attack every enemy on screen. Supressing Fire is useful against those enemies with high HP. Gunner moves slow having the shotgun but you can use Boxer's Taunt to protect him (and the rest of the team). -Cheerleader. Stereo Mic (pink mic) is the best "weapon". Mics heal more than one character so you don't have to micromanage. Stereo Mic has a special that heals a lot all characters. She's quite weak so upgrade as much as you can. -Superboy. Leeching Cannon seems the best weapon. Special consists on attacking 3 enemies and restoring some HP to the player with least HP. A must have Talent upgrade is Teleport (costs like $5800). Sometimes all your characters die and you can use him to teleport from one corner to the opposite and attack the boss before he's able to hit you. Don't waste money on the other characters. Assassin does a good damage but has a weak defense and HP. Black dude is a good tank character but Boxer's Taunt is the best strategy. I like to use the Nimble Ring to increase Boxer's speed since he's the one moving to attack the enemies. The rest I leave them in a corner and I just move them when gets attacked. This is the game that's only fun when you're able to hack it. If you go to their oficial website you'll see a video showing how to pass thru final boss (6-14 I think). In the video the player has +$400k. Only hackers on Android get that amount. What else can I add since? I got the Magician. After playing Take Back The Streets (located in Wendy's Bar) many times in normal difficulty I was able to get enough Black Pearl Coins to "hire" the Magician. Since you can't see her stats or info without getting her I'm going to explain: She has two kind of weapons; Magic Wand and Magic Cards. The first acts like the Cheerleader (healing a character) the latter acts like the Gunner (shoots from distance). I thought that having a Magic Wand would be like having a better version of Cheerleader (healing Boxer + better specials) but Magic Cards are better since you have three characters attacking from distance and a tank (Boxer) taking most of the damage. Another thing I discovered is that when you upgrade your weapon above 5 stars you get an extra bonus. Let's say your weapon has Critical +5 only. When you reach 5-stars you might get Critical +7 and ATK Score +5. What's the setup I recommend for the Magician: Weapon: Brave Pumpkin cards. ATK Score + ATK Speed Score when 5-stars. When you're attacking from distance, being able to do more damage and faster makes difference. The special consist in summoning 3 skulls with 50% of the Magician attributes (lasts 20sec) to attack enemies. The Magician regular specials consist in summoning more units (2 pinochios and/or a bat). So you can do plenty of damage with the Magician. And sometimes the enemies will attack the summoned units instead of your regular team. Another special I forgot to mention is the Healing Want. You summon a want that heals your allies nearby. Set: Pumpkin Witch set or Lunar New Year set are the best ones. 5-star gives you critical + ATK Score. The first set will be Critical and the latter ATK score first before upgrading. Both sets have Pumpkin Cards-enhancing version. It gives and extra skull when you summon the special. So to heal your units you have: - Boxer healing abilities (3%/second). Cyclone Knuckles heals 15% when you use the special. You need Cyclone Knuckles-enhancing Lawman suit. - Superboy's Leeching cannon special and the first special. - Magician's Healing Wand (special) and some of your summoned units do some small repairing too. So for the Boxer I recommend the Cyclone Knuckles-enhancing Lawman suit. Has self-healing score + Pierce score. When you use the Cyclone Knuckles special with the Tank talent upgrade (+40% faster attack) you do a lot of damage. And after upgrading his Talents you'll be able to use specials way faster. Use Taunt to make enemies chase you, then use Brutal Impact to stun them. Magnetic Imprisonment (from Superboy) also stuns enemies. mikmsd Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2014 83 2 8 #7 mikmsd, Sep 10, 2020 Last edited: Sep 10, 2020 Finally I was able to find the store to get the Vampire: When you start Curse of The Cursed Island, you'll see the store in the bottom left corner. (picture above). I didn't want to wait another 3 weeks playing non-stop to get coins so I decided to spend $5 and buy coins to get the Vampire. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
