I think the console versions are. I understand the need for buttons for certain things but Neon Chrome has both and it worked fine. Anyway, minor thing but I just like moving with one stick and shooting with another. Maybe they can add an option for those that like it? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #5 psj3809, Oct 18, 2017 Yeah i prefer dual stick but i didnt realise it was the devs behind Crimsonland and Neon Chrome, two dual stick classics so they must have their reasons as they're great at dual stick games. Think i'll buy this shortly anyway as i love these devs Professionalbum Well-Known Member Oct 8, 2009 235 1 18 Professional bum The Prison Planet #6 Professionalbum, Oct 18, 2017 I beta tested this and I can answer this for you(hopefully); there is true twin stick if you play with a mfi controller. However, with touch controls it has a lock on to automatically hone in on your foes. So think of it as as a auto aim sort of. Its very fast paced and I believe that twin sticks would be a bit too much for this title(opinion). Best way to sum up this game is-its Mr. Shifty(Nintendo Switch) but tons more action and a great storyline. boydstr Well-Known Member Sep 25, 2016 155 11 18 Male Gamer Netherlands #7 boydstr, Oct 18, 2017 Neon Chrome but with a twist I TestFlight this game and really enjoy the game the move were you can move door objects to solve tricky situations are nice and needed to kill the enemies people that liked NC will like this I surely did like Time Recoil and still play it when I have some free time. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #8 anthony78, Oct 18, 2017 Interesting. I played a little am didnt think it was faster than something like Neon Chrome. Actually with the time slowing down, its well, slower, at times. Dont know. Maybe it does make a difference here. I just like aiming myself. Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #9 Misguided, Oct 18, 2017 Planning to pick up Jydge on Switch when it releases tomorrow. Dev here - some questions answered below Time Recoil is a kind of a crossbreed between SUPERHOT and Hotline Miami if you want a frame of reference from existing games. You slow time down by killing people and then try to keep yourself in slowdown. With kill combos you get special moves which destroy the environment and the enemies. If you kill 2 in a row you get a dash, if you kill 4 in a row you get dash blast, if you kill 6 in a row you get area blast. If you kill 8, the time will freeze almost to a standstill... It has completely different gameplay and meta game from Neon Chrome. If you like twin stick shooters / top-down shooters in general you'll probably like it. With MFi you get full twinstick since there's a seprate trigger. With on-screen touch we ended up with single stick and autoaim since this is not a spray and pray game but more about choreography and making exact kills with limited ammo (like Hotline Miami or SUPERHOT). We tried twin stick first but it is better for games with unlimited ammo since autoshooting is usually the way to go on twin stick. If you try the game, you'll probably understand this better You play as a woman in the game, but she isn't very feminine in demeanor (traditionally thinking) - she kills everyone and blows all shit up. Unfortunately no iCloud support. Logitech Powershell should work if it is an MFi controller. However, we recommend a something like the Steelseries Stratus XL for true twinstick console-like experience. VirtualBoyFreak Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 26, 2011 4,801 85 48 Spain #19 VirtualBoyFreak, Oct 19, 2017 Thanks for the reply 10tons. Logitech Powershell is an MFi controller, but it's the only one afaik that uses the reduced-MFi format: only one stick-pad on the left + 6 buttons, similar to an SNES controller. This means that twin stick shooters like Neon Chrome don't work, but fighters like Street Fighter IV: CE work perfectly. If it works with Time Recoil, it will be with the single stick format as on screen controls. I like what I've read of the game style in your description (I love hotline Miami), so I'll grab it and install asap. I'll let you all know if it works or no. 10tonsLtd Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2009 444 50 28 #20 10tonsLtd, Oct 19, 2017 Ah, so it is a single stick MFi controller. To be frank, we haven't tried with a single stick MFi, so no idea what happens... (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
